Fire Spider? Help me ID please

Hi every one. Please help me ID this newly acquired Ball python. Is this Fire Spider Morph? The seller said that the parent is bumblebee and normal het fire.

what do you mean "het fire", fire is not recessive.

The seller lied to you. No such thing as het fire.

No such thing as het fire. Fire is no recessive.

here is a spider fire. I have 2 of these. one I produced and one I traded for. the head markings on both of mine look very close to each other. here's a pic of one of mine

Maybe the seller meant het super fire.. Regardless, bad pictures and a confused seller would be enough for me to avoid personally.

Heterozygous = having a gene pair made up of two genes which are not the same. Examples -- an albino gene and a normal gene, a fire gene and a normal gene, a lesser gene and a mojave gene.

There are lots of het fire pythons around. A het fire python has a fire mutant gene paired with a normal gene. But none of these het fires look normal. They are generally just called fires.

Is the gene named fire or black eyed leucistic?

Which came first, fires or black eyed leucistics? Seems to me that would determine the name of the gene. I've been assuming the gene was named fire. If the name of the gene is "black eyed leucistic", then a fire's genotype is het black eyed leucistic. If the name of the gene is fire, then a black eyed leucistic's genotype is homozygous fire.

Fire is the name given to the Phenotype for Het Black eye Lucy
Black Eye Lucy is the name given to identify the Phenotype for the super aka homozygous phenotype fire. The name isn't important its confussing people with the "HET" label. Its why Her Russo's and Het Red Axanthics confuse people so much. They are use to seeing the "het" thing only being used with recessives. Heck even Yellowbellies use to be called Het Ivorys. :D

That the problem with there being so many different names.

Pastels were either Lemon pastels or Pastel Jungles (because of the "Jungle" type animals that sometimes hatch out)
Super Pastels were called Opels back in the day
Super Cinnis were call 8-balls
Lessers were called Lesser Platnium(sp)
Bumble Bee's were Bumble Bee Spiders
Hypos were Ghost's some people still call them that.
Enchis were Enchi Pastel's

I'm sure there are more that I'm forgetting.

Over the years some morphs have changed names just due to popular usage. It's why some things are better off not getting a name and just listing whats in it i.e Hidden gene woma granite Lemon pastel, or Pastel Flare

Goblin was RDR's Line of Yb where as Amir @ Yellowbelly Balls founded the "YellowBelly" line. Same exact morph just two different breeders got them in at the same time and because back in those days everyone was so secretive about everything no one really talked about new things they had going so the names got alittle overlaped.

Spider was also called spider web ball python.. Cinnis were called cinnamon pastels... Het red axanthics were originally sold as black backs to Cory Woods who proved the gene out. Also how about Lesser/Butters??? A name for a morph is just something pulled out of thin air and then when it is proven as one type or another more names are added on to it. I find it extremely annoying that so many morphs are named xyz and then proven co-dom and the super has nothing to do with the original base...

If the belly is clear and patternless it is a Fire Spider....

Any Belly shots? Does not look like a clean Fire Spider if it is one, which I doubt.
