Who uses v-18 tubs? Pictures please!
I'm thinking of buying a c serpents 8 tub v18 rack. Great price by the way.
I've heard only good things about the v18 and even better things about Chris. So far, best thing about the v18 is that you can raise hatchlings in there and keep them in there longer than a normal 6qt. So who uses these tubs? And what do you have to say about them?
    Pros? Cons?

And pictures of the tub too please with a snake in it :D
I've never seen a v18 in person so I'm just curious as to what they look like

    CD CONSTRICTORS
I have two 16 tub V18 racks stacked from C-Serpents (all my racks are from C-Serpents.

I have held hatchlings to 1000g bp's in a V18 without problems. The only reason I move them to a larger tub is due to feeding issues. A 1000g bp, 5" water bowl and a live rat can get exciting!!

Here is a 750g 1.0 Banana breeder. Just unpaired him and he loves his tub!!

Two 16 tub V18 racks stacked. I have Chris put wheels on all my racks. You can actually see two 5 tub V70's stacked to the left as well.

Re: Who uses v-18 tubs? Pictures please!
Sorry I don't have any or use any V-18 tubs/racks but I can say the MCB-S tubs and racks I use are very nice. They are tall enough for the more semi-arboreal hatchlings, big enough for snakes up to about 600-800g depending on species, smooth inside, and more transparent than sterilites. My rack holds 15 tubs, three wide 5 high. Nice little setup and the tubs are a great compromise between the 6qt and 28qt.

I have the same c serpents v18 rack. I also bought some v15 tubs to exchange out as needed. V15 tubs are thinner and you can fit 3 v15's in the space it takes to fit 2 v18's. I use v15's for hatchlings up to about 250g then move them to v18's when it starts to look cramped since they're only 3.5" wide at the bottom. The V18's are a great shape. I currently only have a 375g girl in there, but she still has a ton of space left.

I use 3" water bowls that fit both sizes so that leaves a lot more room. I've still managed perfect sheds with the smaller water source.

I love vision tubs and that they're made specifically for reptile racks with a handle only on one side.

Yup! I love that they're the exact width to just exchange out a row of tubs without wasting space. And they're $2.89 each so it won't hurt to keep a few around.

Thanks and yes it is an AP rack :gj:, you can contact them and they will make the rack that fits your needs, in my case I needed something not too tall and open.

Chris at C-Serpents also makes great racks which I own and his lead time is much faster.

I will probably get mine from Chris.
Looking forward to getting this rack.

I have a V-18 rack from Chris and I plan on getting another one in about 3 weeks when I go to NARBC.

Here is a hatchling YB weighing about 100g (this is the first time I've seen her paper semi-flat in her tub...she usually moves it around into the corner)

    http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/800x600q90/36/k87t.JPG

And here is a fire girl who's probably 200g or so.

    http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/800...0/196/xxy3.jpg

My bumblebee is sitting at just under 500g.

    http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/800...0/824/btvq.jpg

I used to have a 700g male in there, but he got upgraded. I'd definitely still put an 800g snake in one if I had one that big to put in there.

Another thing you can do is buy his sub adult rack and buy dividers...then you can get 10 tubs that are a little bigger than V-18s. That's what I plan on doing for my breeder males that are 800-900g and one of my normal girls who's 1000g. I feel like the 28qt racks are too big for them but I certainly don't want to cramp the normal.

Give Jimmy a call at Dragons4You. He makes a v18, 8 tub rack w/ tubs and heat for same price as Chris. But his has dividers and locks for each tub. Good customer service
