Female "I don't know" from Ivory to Normal.
Should be a yellowbelly, no chance of retained sperm, female threw Lessers last season.

I really like the spider super stripe.:)

Great looking animals Jerry.
That enchi is hot and the "I dont know" is very interesting to come from that pairing.
-
really really nice, i like the spider superstripe, and i like the comparison shot with super stripe and spider super stripe. thats really interesting.

Amazing looking animals Jerry! I think that firefly might be from the same clutch as my male Bee. Brandon definitely produces some nice yellow animals. :)

Re: some 2013's
Really nice animals. Thanks for sharing.
Someone please correct me if I am wrong, but if last years pairing was a Lesser male to the Normal female than the "I don't know" could be retained sperm. Since a Lesser would throw both the Lesser gene and the Normal gene, the Normal female could have retained a Normal gene sperm from the male last year, and could then throw a normal. Even though the Ivory was introduced it wouldn't have had any effect on that egg.

Ok so here's the scoop.
The chances of retained sperm would be astronomical since I got 6 females that look very similar to the one I shared.
What are the odds of a snake retaining sperm from a codom lsser and throwing 6 normals and all females?
The clutch had 7 snakes but one died crawling out of the egg.
Theoretically possible, very highly unlikely.

I can't wait to make some enchi albino's with him next year.

I really like the spider super stripe.
Definitely one of my favorites, and a powerhouse female when she's of breeding size.

Yeah I'm only holding this one back, since it had the nicest pattern, the rest went to friends.

It's pretty amazing what spider does to the superstripe, quite unexpected.

Re: some 2013's
The ivory male that produced that clutch had a brother that I sold.
The brother produced a clutch for it's owner, Ivory X normal

I am not trying to be argumentative so please don't take it that way. I just find this very puzzling. The odds do seem astronomical for the results to be as you described. Mind you, I am not the final word on all things YB. We have a couple of them and have hatched a couple clutches of them. However, looking at the pictures of the hatchlings, I do not see anything that looks undeniably YB in heads stamps, flames, or belly markings. If they are not YB, the odds that an Ivory could throw 7 snakes that aren't YB would seemingly be as astronomical as the former notion.
Quite the mystery and I look forward to the final act.

Re: some 2013's
Love the Spider SS and SS.

Those IDKs are the weirdest yellowbellies I've ever seen if they're yellowbellies. I dont think they're all normals though. What's up with the ivory? Background, previous clutches?

More likely than you think. We bred a Lesser to Mojo this year and our results were 1 BEL, 4 normals, and 3 Fires.....she was bred to a Fire in 2011/12. Not a single Mojo or Lesser in the clutch for 2012/13 other than the BEL.
Even less likely is a clutch we had in 2011 of 10 eggs from Pied x het Pied......3 Pieds, all males.....and 6.1 hets. It happens.
BTW, nice looking snakes, especially those banded "normals/yb"?

Thanks Brandon!
I know it is possible, but I'm stumped by the fact the don't look like normals either.
And all so similar looking and similar to the Ivory males offspring that I posted.
The Ivory's come from some very hot yellowbellys, so I was completely thrown off by what I got in this clutch.
Here is the male sRk line yellowbelly, he's my founding male for this line.
He passed away very unexpectedly before the babies he sired hatched :(
http://i968.photobucket.com/albums/a...s/SDC14680.jpg
This is the female yellowbelly that produced the Ivory that sired those odd babies.
http://i968.photobucket.com/albums/a...e/PICT3793.jpg
This is a sister to the ivory's, I was really hoping to produce more yb's like this ...
http://i968.photobucket.com/albums/a...ps5b1cca1f.jpg
I have the Ivory male breeding a different normal female this season and a pinstripe, hoping to figure something out, LOL
