    Louisiana is too cold!!
This is our dogs water bucket at 10:00 this morning -

She's an outside dog and not allowed indoors (we live on top of our landlord) but he left just now and I unfastened her collar still attached to her lead and brought her up. That way it looks like she got loose (she has before but always stays close) and she can be warm. Poor girl /:

It could be worse. A friend of mine sent me this pic from his home in Michigan:

It 'looks' nice outside here, but it's -16 (which is still warmer then we were expecting)

Part of me wants to feel smug that we're having such a "cold" day here in Phoenix with a high of 68, and the rest of me knows I will regret it in 6 months when it's 120. Stay warm everybody!

Hey I just left Phoenix this morning! It's been lovely the last couple days, but now I am driving home to New Mexico. It's very cold where I live, but we don't get snow, it's too dry.

I'm sorry, OP, but I had to smile at that picture of the thin little layer of ice. Some kids egged my car last week and I was outside cleaning it off and the boiling water was freezing as fast as I took it out of the bucket. Spilled some on my shoes and they froze solid in just a few minutes.

I lived in Florida for a year, but honestly I would much rather have winter. I do love the cold.

I'm from Louisiana and while it was cold this morning, depending on where you at it was probably colder.

I had had enough snow for one lifetime. I would love to live in the South West.

It was nice out today at 40 this morning, all the snow had melted off. Of course, I regretted having dressed for 40 when it dropped down to 15 while I was out...

Lol, I grew up in Cruces so I get it. I realized how heat-adapted I've gotten when I visited my parents over Christmas (in LC) and needed a knee length wool coat, boots with ski socks, gloves, hat, and a scarf to walk the dogs because 42 was "freezing." My little boy dog refused to walk on their grass if there was frost on it, his sister on the other hand was all 'ooh cold stuff, lets go roll in that until it melts and then shake our wet coats on everyone!'

Feels like -3 here with the wind, crazy for TN! I thought I got AWAY from the cold when I moved here from NY! Snow on the ground but not much, at least.

No snow here (as usual) but even Texas isn't safe with 34'F. That's the day temp right. It gets 30 and below at night.

I believe it got down to about 5 last night, and we got a light dusting of snow. Not bad, a little cold. But, we get the full range here.

5 degrees now, 107 by May.

lol I wouldn't entirely call that warm, but anything would feel 'warmer' without the wind blowing. I'm at -12 right now, up from the -15 we were at last night, and right now we are at -33 wind chill. Sucks cause even when its not snowing all the wind gradually blows snow off the roof & other places, and I still have to go out and shovel to keep the snow from freezing into mounds behind the door or cars :(

Well, guess I'm no victim here. Come to Texas, at least it might be above freezing sometimes. ;)

I was watching on the news how many places are having temperatures at antarctic levels.
