A "nice" way to post an ad on craigslist to look for feeders?
I'm looking for various feeder/prey items and I posted an ad on craigslist about it.. Problem is.. It gets flagged almost instantly...

How can I word it so that it doesn't get flagged? I know.. hard question...

Needed: Rodents in need of friends offering long hugs and sweet kisses.

Craigslist people are frustrating. I have never used Backpage but I know its like Craigslist without all the dumb rules. They even allow guns there. You might check it out.

Well, if you posted that in "Casual Encounters" you'd get some calls! Probably wouldn't be quite what you were looking for, but it wouldn't get flagged!

On a serious note, have you tried posting an ad that's a little more vague? I'm wondering what the response would be like if you put something out looking for python food. I'm still trying to wrap my head around how difficult it seems to be for some of you guys to find feeders.

Craigslist folks are brutal when it comes to pet-only rehoming of rodents. As soon as they catch a,whiff of a snake keeper, everything gets flagged. It's a shame too, I could use well-packaged local feeders but no such luck it seems.

Heck with CL and try the local reptile forum on Facebook. Someone will either be advertising feeders or will know who breeds them in your town.

I posted Rats for sale for feeders on Craigs List and didnt get the boot. Even reposted it 2 weeks later. I can even find others selling rats every now and then on there here where I live.

There is that, I mean the usefulness of these local groups is greater than any reason I could hear about not having a Facebook. Lotta people will sell stuff cheaper locally too.

I put an ad for sale on the two local areas for me for f/t feeders and some idiot using the "craigslist advisor" emailed me because it was a troll with no life. I know this was a troll because craigslist doesn't email people. If enough people flag something, it automatically gets removed. What I told them is they needed a life instead of emailing people telling them it's been flagged and being a troll that they should text me so I can get their # and we could meet up and discuss something my way if they want to be trolls.

So what I naturally do is keep reposting and I think I've broken the persons spirit because they've stopped flagging my stuff.

What I recommend you doing is getting bulk frozen rodents then putting an ad on craigslist that you're selling. I can give you a link to one of my ads so that way you know how to post, I sell to various local people. I don't ship or anything, but I'm offering to show you how I post my ads so that way you can sell off your bulk as well.

Another option, though I don't know where you're close to, I found these ads just searching through the South Carolina craigslist.

http://charleston.craigslist.org/grq/4201953602.html - Rats, chickens, rabbits, hamsters. Sounds like they may raise them to sell?

http://charleston.craigslist.org/for/4248424452.html - Selling what they have leftover from a Rodent Pro order.

http://greenville.craigslist.org/grd/4202899949.html - Sounds like they're a breeder. I would use this as my first option because they have a wide array of sizes.

    Okay.

Well... I reposted again and called it "NEEDED: Whole prey for RAW diet" and then listed what I was looking for and so far it has stayed up... I may even be getting two rabbits for free.

I always post on CL and I post ads selling liv and frozen rats as either feeders or pets, all sizes, live and frozen, $2.00. Never been flagged once. Sounds like you just a bleeding heart troll out there that doesn't think that other peoples' pets have a right to eat.
