Xbox One, Any Snake Owners Playing?
I've been a PC gamer for the last 15 years. My last console was a Nintendo 64. So anyways I got an Xbox One and I'm playing AC IV, Battlefield 4, Call Of Duty Ghosts, Killer Instinct and Madden 25. So if anyone would like to play or chat I'll post my gamer tag below. All my friends are PC gamers so I'm alone on this one. Maybe talk to you on Xbox, Thanks.

I'm still up in the air on the Xbox One. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE my 360, so I'm definitely an Xbox guy... I want to love the One, but I'm pretty impressed by the PS4.

Can someone sell me on the Xbox One?

Nope, PS3 and 4 here. It's super annoying that they didn't make the PS4 backwards compatible so we have to keep both systems up and running

I want to want to get a Xbox one but the titles are nothing that interests me, Xbox 360 had a bunch of really solid launch titles but the Xbox one is quite pathetic at the moment.

I play pc and console. We do have an Xbox 360 and an Xbox One. Currently my daughter and husband play call of duty, we all play halo reach and halo 4. I currently am playing Forza 5.

I refuse to pay that much for a console, then have to pay to play it online. That's probably the main reason I never played WOW. I mean I have the computer, I pay for my internet and I bought the game, why do I have to pay to play the stupid game? No thank you.

I'll stick to my PC gaming because the graphics are 10x better and games are way more enjoyable, with the exception that they don't make some games for PC. I also refuse to buy BF4 because of the past issues I've noticed with DICE.

So for me in 2014, I'll be purchasing Titanfall when it comes out. I play Day Z, well I was but I stopped because none of my friends were playing it. Though hopefully once Day Z standalone comes out I'll have some friends playing it so I can actually enjoy playing it then.

Funny fact, my video card cost more than an xbox one or ps4, possibly both combined, lol.

It really depends on perspective, I guess. On one hand, it IS a little ridiculous to buy the console, game, pay for internet, AND have to pay to play online. On the other hand, taking into consideration the amount of money spent on individual computer components can look pretty outrageous as well. Then consider that the average consumer can't tell the difference between a $1k video card and the generic Nvidia card that came installed. It's a matter of what works for you. The fee for Xbox Live is no big deal to me, mainly because I use my Xbox for everything entertainment related. Movies, music, games... I actually spend more time using for movies than games. It seems a little more social to me as well. With a console, you can put 4 people in front of the tv to play. You can do that with a PC also, it's just not as simple, and the screen tends to be a lot smaller.

Still, I can think of about 6004 things my PC will do that my Xbox won't. It's always good to have options, though.

True. I guess the only games I really enjoyed on console were the Resident Evil series because I'm a die hard RE fan. It just seems the more popular RE got the more kind of out of hand it got. To me the best Resident Evil games were 1 & 2. They were the hardest or most challenging anyways. I also like Madden & NCAA Football, but they completely changed the controls from when it was on PS2, which to me I found stupid. I mean they basically changed something that made them popular for all the years. Now I can see changing the controls around if the controller layout was changed but it wasn't, so I refuse to play anything past NCAA Football '11 which is on PS2. It's nice to be able to play with friends at the house, but when you factor in split screen into the mix it kind of puts a ding on things, or at least to me. I have a 27" 2560 x 1440 monitor which is great resolution for me at least.

Speaking of the video cards, when some people get games and consoles they compare which console has the better graphics I laugh. When I try to put it into simple terms for people that the graphics aren't going to matter if the game is cross console they argue. What people don't realize is say the PS4 will have 105 graphics(using number solely for reference) and the Xbox one has 98 graphics. When they release a game that will be for PS4 & Xbox one, the game is going to be made for 98 graphics because it'll work across the board for both systems. Otherwise they have to start changing stuff and using a different render process. Now if a game is made strictly for that console then they utilize more of what's available. Yea if it weren't for the pay to play online and the expensive price tag on the new consoles then I'd probably consider getting one.
