I have a male Cinny that is monster!! We picked him up last Oct. in a trade for an extra Lesser male we had. He was 115g by this year he was 1432g. Why can't I get a female to grow like this?

I've had females get close to 1900g and a male get to 1300g within a year. But I also have a male that won't go past 400g, he is just a huge PITA, and a super pastel ivory too.

I picked up a male Fire who weighed 119 grams on Jan 16th. On November 30th he was 827 grams. I expect him to be over 900 grams by the time I have had him a year.

The only one I have that's over a year old is my normal. The poor thing must have been underfed (he was adopted from some kid who was going away for school) because he was about a month shy of a year old when I got him, and was right around 100g! I have had him since August, and in that 4.5 months he's gotten up to nearly 700g!

OH MY GOODNESS! What were you feeding them lol? I have a 3 month old black pastel who is eating Large-Extra Large mice every 3-5 days because he is always starving. Logically, I think yours are probably growing the right amount because if you think about it, babies in the wild need to grow fast in order to survive. Plus I think mine is proof that they don't eat just once a week. Mine will eat everyday if I let him haha.

Many snakes are opportunistic feeders. And as such will eat far more than they need. That is handy in the wild where they don't know when or where their next meal will be.
If you want consistent growth without risking the health of your BP, I would suggest trying rats that are 10-15% the weight of your snake every 5-7 days as a juvie and ending up around 10-14 days as an adult.
Some snakes will hit a wall on feeding and just stop for a bit while others won't.

My BP's have ranged from 600 to 1100 grams at 1 year. And, now they are so sure of themselves weighing is a pain because they would like to slither out of the container and explore rather than ball up and try to hide in the container.

I've seen anywhere between 100g to 1000g depending on how well they eat. I'm not sure what the average would be since there is such a wide range of possibilities. As long as they're healthy and their growth is steady, you're doing it right.

My good eaters range from 500-1000g their first year. So growing 50-100g per month.
My bad eaters range around 300-400g by their first year.

I had a pair of girls born within days of each other. Both were excellent eaters and fed on the same sized prey once a week. One girl hit 1000g before her first birthday. She grew over 1000g in her second year as well. The other girl was around 500-600g by her first birthday.

So they ate the same but one grew better? That's interesting. I assumed growth was more dependent on how much they ate, but I guess genetics must play a big role too, since I assume husbandry was also the same for the 2.

Correct. Food and environment were the same. The difference is just individual metabolism and genetics.

I have one from this year that is growing very fast. She hatched on 4/1/13. She is currently 850 grams. By far, she is the best eater I have had.
