the best PASTELS
Who has the best pastels??? Looking to get something that holds color and doesn't brown out. Is there any high quality pastels out there that won't brown out??? I'm not talking about combos. I'm talking about plain old pastels. Looking to build on a strong foundation. So who has the best pastels and where can i find them?

Re: the best PASTELS
Missriss has one of the nicest I've ever seen. Not sure if she's breeding her this year or not.
-
Rabernet has some of the only pastels I'd pay money for.
-
x2 for Marissa.
She has by far one of the best pastels I have ever seen. It may not be as blushed out as other pastels, but her pastel has been holding it's colors fantastically.
She also has a really impressive super pastel that she is currently breeding.

Hi there! Yes, I am a little biased, my girl is beautiful! I not breeding her this year. Even though she could be up to size if I increased her feeding, I
am waiting until next year to breed her.
My super pastel is currently breeding a huge 3100gram striped normal girl. I'm keeping an eye on her as I believe he will be ovulating soon. My super pastel was my first snake and he is about 1000 grams.

Here is a crappy cell picture of their lock the other day. The female is in shed in this photo.

Okiedoke well I now know who to go to for pastels and pastel combos. And after browsing through your site Marissa, your goldbush mojo female is stunning too.

Thank you! She is perfect. I was on a waiting list for 2.5 years for her :)

Eventually, I beg you, pair that super pastel to her. I would love a pastave female from that cross. :D

I also like Lemons from NERD. This is my Lemon Pastel girl. She's 1500 grams and still bright as hell.

I know it may look that way, but I promise she is only getting fed 1 medium rat every 7 days! Also, shortly after this photo, the female shed and last night she refused her first meal since I've had her! 99% sure I missed this girl's ovulation and that I will be seeing eggs in the next few weeks. :)

This boy is from Regius Pythons.
Another user has a smoking pastel jungle from them too.

Here is our citrus pastel het og. I have a bell x blonde that is a light colored, but no where near as good as the citrus. She is 980 grams in this pic.

Re: the best PASTELS
Here the only pastel I produced this season. I still regret selling her...

I'm pretty proud of this girl - think she's holding her own as she grows. I tried to take all pictures in natural, medium light(outside, overcast).
Little Worm:

Getting some size on her, 400-600g(sorry, I don't keep track so well) with a firefly for comparison:

Recent shot with the same firefly from above, just under 1000g:

Here's my pastel het hypo girl. She's about 1900g in this photo.

Lyfoti05-what line is that 1900 gram pastel girl she is very nice. Would love to see the full pog offspring from her for sure.
John 1982- that girl colored up real nice.
BHreptiles-I can see why you regret selling it. Bet that grows into a smoker for sure.
I would have to say though. Out of all the pastels I have seen the lines I like best are lemon, citrus, and blondes. Now I do not remember where I saw it, but I did see a very light colored graziani that was well over 1500 grams. Wish I could find a pic of it to show.
-
To be honest, I'm not sure. I contacted the original breeder to find out since I was curious, but didn't receive a response. I shopped the snake and not the line in this instance.
Here's a POG I hatched this year. Marissa (missriss2012) has her and can provide updated photos. :)

Here is her sister, a PEG I held back.

Don't feel bad! I plan in making my own with her sister ;) not to mention her mom...

Blonde Pastels
Here are a couple of my bigger normal pastel girls. I've been pretty much just working with the blonde pastel line since around 03 I believe, and I've had great results! Sorry for the crappy phone pics. I don't usually take the adults to my house for good pictures.
This girl was hitting a little over 2000 grams in this pic. She has a really interesting look to her.

This girl is well over 2000 grams now. I know I've posted this picture before.

I produced the pastel on the right. The pastel on the left is SUPPOSE to be a Vanilla Blonde Pastel. I have my doubts though. I think they were around 700-800 grams each in this pic.

Here is a really bad pic of a blonde bumble bee ovulating. She is a favorite of mine, and produced that Spinner fly I posted pics of a couple months ago. I believe she was between 1500-1600 grams here.

Only in a breeding forum does this not sound dirty. :P
