    Just got my first bp!
So just picked up my first bp yesterday from a breeder i met at a repticon a few weekends ago! Hes a 2013 pastel male named Zedd. Letting him chill for a few days before i feed him to let him adjust. I was holding him and he struck at a friend next to me so im guessing he was just pissed about all the movement from travel. I have him in a 20g tank with cypress mulch and couple of rock hides and used silicon to glue some branches on, a log and a big water dish. Have a uth set to about 92f on 1/3 of the tank also put a sheet of plastic i had cut to fit to cover the whole top except for about 2 inches on each side to hold humidity better but still allow for airflow. any suggestions on anything i should do different would be great! wont let me post pictures yet so im assuming i need to make a few more posts

    Welcome to the site!

It sounds like you have the basics covered.

What are you using to regulate your UTH and what type of thermometers do you have?

Here are some threads to get you started:

Thanks got some pictures up!. And right now im using a dimmer. i have a temp gun so still adjusting temps a bit. going to home depot tomorrow though to get a digital thermometer/hydrometer to stick in there . I have 4 leopard gecko cages hooked up on hydrofarm thermostats but those have to heat through slate tiles so they are running about 105f to get a 91f surface temp so it would run the snake cage to hot. Probably going to to buy another one just for Zedd though if i cant get the temps to stabilize with the dimmer.

People are touchy about their T-stats here bud...in 9 years of keeping I have very mixed feelings but to each is own. Your T-stat is considered your best measure against fire and burns, what ever you decide, all the best to you, nice specimen almost looks like a het clown.

Awesome! Because glass tanks are a pain to keep humidity right.

I'm glad you're happy with that little guy. You really have done your research and the set up looks great.
