Re: What camera do you use?
I use a Canon Rebel T3i. Absolutely love it. For family, snakes, outdoors. Search my history, I have a million pictures posted! :p
Canon 60d but would recommend the the canon sx50
I got a canon sx50 as part of a bonus last year. It's a $400 camera with a lot of functions. It has a real nice macro mode. One of the best things is it has a wide zoom range so you don't have to buy any lenses. The down side is it's not very tough if you like nature photography. It would be great for indoor a family shooting.
Re: What camera do you use?
Wow I really love those D3100 photos! That has been the camera I have been researching most. Thank you so much!
Re: What camera do you use?
I have a Canon Rebel xsi, which is a few years old now. I just came back from a conference where I attended a food photography seminar. (The techniques for shooting snakes are almost identical, but *usually* the food doesn't move!) Collette Martin, the cookbook author/food photographer who gave the seminar just put up a blog post about photography equipment you might find helpful.
Re: What camera do you use?
I use the Canon T3i/600D.
I would consider a decent macro lens and maybe a fish-eye for snake photos.
For ideas on layouts to take the pics definitely take a look at Doolittle's photo's. Some creative well composed photos there for sure.
