Got my first lizard (Crested Gecko-see that album for a pic) this past Sunday and my second just half an hour ago. Meet my new Irian Jaya BlueTongued Skink. He/she was born 7/2/04. So cute!

Nice pics! Congrats on your new buddy. I'll be interested in hearing how his temperament is and how he adjusts. :)

It's a 10 gallon. Can't go much smaller than that w/o having problems creating a gradient w/ a basking spot. I think the pic might be a bit deceiving. :D

She seems very healthy, and pictures can make me think an unhealthy skink is healthy, so good job on a healthy skink!

My bluey will be 2 months old this week. yeah! S/he is so cute. If you want a lizard with personality (and great intelligence) a bluey is for you. Here's a pic of her trying to swim in my tiny desktop waterfall thingy. She had just finished dinner and went to cuddle under her towel on the floor. Well I decided to plug in the waterfall and put her ramp up against it. As soon as it was on she popped her out out from under the towel and kept turning her head from side to side like dogs do. Then she high-tailed it up the ramp and into the fountain. She took a couple laps of water as it shot out of the tube thing and then started walking through the water. Sounds really intrigue her. I leave my nature cd playing for her a lot and she seems to enjoy it. Guess I need to get a bigger waterfall?

She is. Somedays she likes to cuddle or play hide-n-seek, and somedays she gets all hissy at me. She's so cute!
