    He's eating well and getting lighter as he grows. I'm really happy with how he looks.

    That is one impressive pattern morph.
    Fingers crossed on it being a simple genetic pattern morph rather than a polygenic or other deviation.
    Either way it fits the permanent holdback category.

    if it proves out, i guess you could ask 100000 dollars for the first one you sell, or for a pair of hets, and one of the usual suspects (Mike Wilbanks, Brian Barczyk, Kevin McCurly) might actually buy it at that price.

    It was a surprise from a Pastel Special x Super Mojave clutch, three crystals and this guy. It was the first year I bred either snake so there isn't a chance of sperm retention or anything.

    The interesting part is that mom was a super mojave so I would expect more of a crystal looking snake if special was involved. It's a mystery for now...
