I wouldn't ever let my snakes slither through grass, since there are fleas, bugs and mites etc... Just not smart,IMO,not like there wild snakes these are captive bred.

Are you just incredibly contrary by nature?

You just posted in another thread that you don't think they need two hides because they don't have two hides in Africa. Well, they DO slither on the ground in Africa.

I honestly don't think there's much risk involved, provided the grass hasn't been chemically treated.

After their done in the grass and before i put them back in their tank they get inspected for mites and wiped down with a baby wipe. There's nothing wrong with them playing in grass or trees by the way.

I take mine outside once in awhile when the weather is nice. They like it and I've never had a problem with bugs or mites.

To the OP. They are looking good!

Did your partner tell you this too?

Where I live I'd be more worried about a crow or fifty coming down on me and my pet like the wrath of God.

There are so many crows and hawks and vultures....

    I digress...Very cute chubby babies.

Because snakes don't slither on the ground in Africa...?

Beautiful snakes. :) As to not letting them play in the grass, hogwash. I've let mine play in my yard and in the grass for the past four years and have NEVER had a problem with mites, parasites or anything else like that.

So cute :) they are all so beautiful! I love letting mine slither around in the yard. You also get great pics of them outdoors with the natural lighting. Can't wait till it warms up a little so I can take a newer one out and get some good pics.
