What Makes a Fire??
What are some ways too tell Fires? Ive recently bought what was labeled a "fire". I see some similarity's then i don't. If anyone could help me out thatd be great. Id like to have the best idea on what she is, because if she inst a fire, the guy i got her from is gonna have some answering too do. She doesn't look like my other normal, or my big normal that i just picked up. I know the only real way is to breed them out. Any input would be extremely helpful. Thank you.

The best way to tell, although not the only "Marker" is a FIRE shaped head stamp
-
Head stamps
The way to find out is look at the black bit on the back of her head. If it is shaped like a fire than yes it is, in your case i don't think it is.
Hope this was helpfull

Heres some updated pictures of her.

Re: What Makes a Fire??
I think that IS a fire from headstamp. can't be sure though
-
I'm not seeing fire personally. Even normals and other morphs can have headstamps. And head stamps are not the only indicator of a fire.
Fires are lighter than normals and should continue to get lighter with each shed. The best one's I have always seen are a light cream color.
Not to mention blushing.
These are Gale's fires. The perfect examples of fires in my opinion.

Wow!! They make me want a fire now!! ;)
Normals vary greatly so it's not surprising that she looks different from your other normals.
She's still very pretty!!

Im not really seeing fire either. If it is, its not the best example of one.
Here's my fire girl for comparison. I think she's pretty nice.

You always say the sweetest things <3
Tim- i'll make a collection thread once you get pics of the two that were in shed. It has to be a complete collection thread! Also, i'm bringing some tarantulas and roaches for you to get good shots of!

in a clutch it is very easy to separate Fires from Normals .. some Fires are not very distinctive though so when you see a picture of him alone with no normals to compare to from the same clutch you can't be 100% sure it really is a Fire .. I would say the snake on the picture IS a Fire, however it is one of those not very distinctive ones, but then again it might be a normal .. why people buy a snake labeled something and then question the genetics is beyond me though .. pay a few bucks extra and buy something you are sure of :O just my 2 cents

Ignore the headstamp and look at the belly. It is not white.
A Fire belly is like a Butter/Lesser belly..... white.
You do not have a Fire there.

Re: What Makes a Fire??
I personally don't see fire there.
Mike, wth? You have good pictures, and we haven't seen them???? :o
