Andybill's 2013/14 Breeding Thread
I am stealing this idea. Started pairing beginning of October and have started getting some locks recently. So far I have recorded 1 solid lock from Butter X Mojave, and Enchi X Calico but have not been able to get a pic. Today I had my camera ready and was happy to see this:

The Enchi came from Ed at Wild Morphs (Freakie_frog on the forums) and is the brother to Doolittle's enchi stud and the pied came from Garrick Demeyer. All of the females I am pairing this season are virgins so fingers crossed for some serious luck. I will be updating this thread as my season progresses. I will try to get pics of the other pairings as they happen. Thanks for looking!

Those little enchi boys sure know how to get the job done! Congrats!
Re: Andybill's 2013/14 Breeding Thread
Thanks for calling it the 2013/14 season. There are some that have started pairing now,but call it the 2014 season. Guess they can't put together the fact that pairing is part of the season.http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/smiley-score010.gif

Enchi pied stuff is super cool so I had to get this going. I want to keep a pair for myself but if enough people are interested I suppose I can just keep a male. ;)

Thanks! I also have an enchi female who I hope to put this enchi boy to come January. Nothing crazy but still some really cool projects to add for the future.

No... not for Andy's benefit at all.
Send your Cinny here and I can prove her out for you with "Holmes". He just looks mean, but he's a baby ;)

We all like locks. Post up your thread!! It's a great way to track your progress in one place. Don't be shy ;)
My first breeding. 4 lockups already.
:snake: I have a pair that I have seen locked 4 times and I just separated them when should I put him back in or should I? and I have pics of the lock up but don't know how to upload. my 1st breeding so super excited.

Big pro males (800g- 1000g) will see three girls straight. They usually are locked the morning after pairing, so it is common they see 3 females in 6 days.
Beginner males (650g- 800g) will see 2 females straight.
Rookies that maintain 500g- 650g will see 1-2 females straight depending on eating habits.
I give them all a few days rest and offer a meal before deciding to pair again. It has been working for me so far.

No you DEFINITELY want to keep a pair, if not a 1.2, I have a champ enchi x pied pairing this season that I am very hopeful for. Locks are looking good though.
As for the breeding part this is how I do it, works for me so..... Males see up to 8 females a year (doesn't happen often I try to limit to 6, but depending on planned projects.....)
I feed Wednesdays, clean and pair to female 1 Friday, pair to female 2 Sunday, separate Tuesday, feed Wednesday and so on

At this point I just need to see one lock! But a clutch or two would be really special! If it works out I will be holding back 2 toffino females. It has been a bit frustrating with this guy but we have had some small victories and hope to keep progressing each week! Just keeping a positive mental attitude!
