Am I underfeeding my girl?

She weighs 376 grams empty, I feed her 2 adult mice,every 5 days, which comes up to 40 grams rougly give or take..

The petsmart I get my f/t doesn't offer a small rat. They go from adult mice, to medium rat, and she isn't quite thick enough yet for that it seems surprisingly.

I'm spend.. 25-31 dollars every 20 days to feed her, can't quite remember :O 4 large mice in a box, I buy 2 boxes at a time.. so 8 mice last me.. 20 days with a 5 day feeding schedule?

Should I be going it about it different?

40 grams every 5 days for a 376 gram snake is fine. You're not underfeeding her.

If you're tracking her weight and she's gaining weight and seems healthy, you're doing it right.

IMO you're spending too much! If your girl is taking f/t easily I'd buy some feeders in bulk: shipping may seem expensive but in the long run it will be cheaper for you.

Can you give me a site I can buy mice/rats in bulk?

You are definitely over paying, I think you will be better off feeding her a small rat every week.

Petsmart will rob you blind on f/t prices. Either bulk order online, or to save on shipping, see if anyone has local feeders through facebook groups or craigslist.

I would also be feeding her rat weanlings. I havent seen a ton of variety with local pet stores in regards to f/t sizes. I also used to spend like 15 bucks every 3 sm rats at the local pet store. Buying f/t in bulk is by far the way to go. I have heard different info around how long bulk f/t feeders last in the fridge and the generally consensus is aroun 6-8 months or longer if they are sealed and just being stored (i.e. vacuum sealed).

Would 25 Jumbo mice from http://www.laynelabs.com/ be enough for her? I haven't switched over to rats yet, and I saw the mice were a pretty good size, and she hammers mice down pretty good. If I fed her 2 of those every 5 days? She's 376 grams as I stated, maybe a tad more now

she really hammers down mice and I see they have jumbo mice, would that be alright to feed her? shes at 385 grams atm

not underfeeding, but definitely over paying. Also she will probably grow better on rats. Buy small rats in bulk and you will win on both fronts.
