my one and only! (so far)

Hey guys! My name is Cassidy and I'm new to the site. I thought I would introduce myself and my little guy :) He's a little over a year old or so and I got him at Petsmart. I know that's what you guys don't want to hear, but I have learned a lot about the animal and all that since I got him. I'm hoping to have more snakes in the future because I think they're so amazing! Oh and please post pictures of your babies too! :) These aren't the most recent or most amazing pictures but here he is!

What do the "1.0" or "0.1" or whatever in everybody's signature mean?

1.0 means male 0.1 means female. 1.1 would be a male/female pair. Hope that helps :)

I started with a normal about a year and a half a go. I currently own 3 BPs in total and planning on getting one more. This is an addicting hobby.

It seriously is! Everyone thinks I'm crazy for wanting a whole room in a house just of snakes... every kind!

As long as you enjoy it and provide proper care to the snakes, then I don't see why not ;) Most people won't understand why we like it and that's ok.

Nice lookin snake! I got my normal from PetCo so I feel ya there. Not happy about it but I love my lil guy just the same :) I had no idea about reptile expos or the dozens of awesome sites out there breeders have. Have fun though! I definitely want a snake room in my house but I also intend to breed em eventually. Once I know much, much more..

Thank you, it's getting there. I am really pleased with all of mine and I find it very manageable to look after multiples too :) it wasn't so long ago I didn't have any and I'm not sure how I dealt with that! Would never look back now :)

Best explanation to give came from a BP.net user. I cannot recall who to give proper credit but, it was along the lines of, "Do you know people keep pet fish? Same thing except no risk of flooding and, I can pick my pets up." to very roughly paraphrase.

I think it's safe to say that most people usually get their first snake at PetSmart or Petco. Both my BP's are from each store.
