    New Pickups from Tracy Expo
What's up everyone? Just stopping in to share my two new pickups from the Tracy Ca, Reptile Expo hosted by Shedskin Reptiles.

I picked up a Female Yellow Anaconda from last years litter first off.

And second, a personal victory for me, a Female Mainland Platinum Tiger Het Albino Retic.

Pictures as soon as I get a break lol.

Ok I apologize for the quality of the pics but she was not cooperating, and she's blue so not much I can do about that...

I haven't got any pictures of the anaconda yet, but she was HUNGRY! So I fed her a weanling rat today and she devoured it so no handling until tomorrow and glass and flash don't like each other so no enclosure shots today lol.

It's funny because my wife was scared to death of snakes 6 months ago, and her real big stipulation to keeping/breeding snakes was nothing that gets too big...

Well 4 adult BCI's, and 2 adult Yellow Anacondas later she has warmed up to the biggins and actually told me to get a retic.

She fell in love with the tiger retics, so I got a Platinum Tiger Het Albino Retic. Needless to say she loves her and can't wait to handle her. Happy man right here lol

Do you remember the breeder of that retic? I'm not really seeing "tiger" in this at all. I'm seeing low expression of platinum perhaps, but other signs lead me away from tiger being involved unless its very low expression. Post a shot of its head (good clean top view) and under the tail?

Now that you say it, I totally fudged the title I think. I WAS looking at his platinum tiger, but ended up getting a platinum het albino instead. Guess the title just sorta stuck.

Ok, that seems right then. Grats, platinums are still a great animal and key to many amazing combos like Lucy's

She is probably going to be a pet for the most part, but the breeder said he would loan me a male when the time comes if I want to.

Just out of curiosity, what is the difference between a platinum and a platinum tiger? Like what pairing makes each morph, and why the double the price difference? I've been a boa guy so I'm new to the genetics of retics and couldn't find much info on google.

Haha yeah did you also see me do the walk of shame back as I realized it wouldn't fit in my car? I,m going back to pick it up tomorrow morning. They are like visions but its a different brand that have a nice aesthetic appeal. Got a great deal too! I can't wait to give it a deep clean and get my atb in it!

Nice pickups! A platty is on my wishlist too (we'll see what's at the expo I'm going to next Saturday) and the annie's belly is very cool.

Thank you. She's a pretty girl IMO and I've always been intrigued by retics. Their potential size is almost awe inspiring. I'm glad I got one as a baby so I can spend a lot of time learning to read her, know her, understand her, and hopefully have it pay off in the end with a big beautiful and reasonably safe monster.

Ya I waited quite awhile for that yellow and picked her out. The two adults I had to learn their behaviors very quickly. Awesome species tho, all of them lol.
