I know how excited you are. I got my first locks with a male spider to normal female. I have a male pastel lesser which I need to put a little more weight on. Hopefully he can breed this season. I wish you the best this season. This is just so much fun.:)

Thanks everyone! I'll update this thread as more happens

Lock #4 and she also shed 12/2. Could that be the pre ovy shed? Or am I getting ahead of myself?
Sorry about the poor lighting, found them like this early this morning when I got up for work and it was still dark outside.

So sorry for the poor quality photos, I'm always in a hurry when I need to get a picture of her.
This was her yesterday, in a very tight coil

And this her this morning "lumping". I'm a little confused on the significance of lumping. Mainly I've heard it means she's building still, but have also heard it's a sign she'll shortly ovulate, and have also heard it's a sign she's already gravid.

Here is her "breeding" timeline.

I'm voting it's pre-ovy lumping, have you palpated her? The shed could have been the pre-ovy shed, or not, it's kind of hard to say with certainty but that pic certainly looks promising! Would you say that's representative of her normal coloration?

The very first picture I posted of her in this thread is the best representation of her normal color. Photos besides that have been very poor, poor lighting, poor camera, and mainly just to get the act of what she's doing rather than quality. I have not seen a glow whatsoever.
I was hoping this last shed could possibly be pre ovy shed. If so I should expect an ovy soon. I keep thinking oh she looks so fat! But I think that's been her building.
This is my first go around so am questioning everything she's been doing lol worried mother hen

Sometimes the glow can go pretty fast and you can miss it. I gave up guessing where Bubbles was last year, she was always on the warm end, and I never caught her lying inverted, but I checked her 2x a day, turned on the incubator, and waited, and she finally laid (turns out I wasn't too far off anyway). I think you're right though, and I think you'll see an ovy soon. :gj:

Does this look like an ovy to anyone?
Weighed 1800g on 12/29, ate a rat about 100g that night. This morning (12/31) she weighs 1988g and didn't look nearly this fat yesterday

SO, the female I was asking if that was an ovy, her belly is currently pink and that will run perfectly on a timeline for pre lay shed correct?
Third lock between these two

Is that her locked in the photo above? Or is it a different girl? I wasn't sure on the ovy pics, it looked a little high up the body, but then if it was a quick swelling/subsiding like you described it very well could have been. So I vote yes for impending pre-lay shed assuming that the female in the above pic is not the female in question but rather the other het pied (I hope that made sense, I'm distracted by delicious chips and salsa right now ).

You are correct =) there are two girls and that last lock is the 2nd girl.
It's been 1 week since the "ovy" and her belly is still pink and I expect her to shed in a week or so. Making it fit a pre lay shed timeline perfectly. I really hope she isn't tricking me!

Well, I guess she is not gravid then. lol. This was yesterday morning

Took this before work this morning, was in a rush. Female is also deep in shed
Put them together for the first time yesterday, this is both their first time.

This is what she normally looks like, when not in shed, under good lighting, with a good camera

Second lock from the other day, they were locked for just about 24 hours! She's getting moved to a 41qt next week. The build job keeps getting pushed off
