i was thinking that at first, but you never know, i mean, after my snake shed once, he had a lot of white, that was like a pied, but after the next shed, it was gone, and i know it wasnt anything bad, i had it checked out, so maybe it just changed

it looks like he scewed up and didnt make part of it grey in the righ corner, and if you look at the black part, it looks like something from photoshop, its not the same shade of black

    SHIRT (back) DONE ! lookie-lookie!
Well, I've heard of a problem hatchling BCI turning anery after a shed (and seen the animal afterwards), so it's not too unbelievable...

However, I doubt it's genetic... most likely, just some developmental deformity if it changes colours after a shed.

I see what your talking about royal-y-great, he left some brown on there it looks like. I think its fake but if its real that is one special ball.

Nah, I think it's legit. I know my way around Photoshop and know most/all techniques to do stuff like that. Usually to do a color change like that you'd select the whole body of the snake, then change colors with the color palette(hard to explain). So if he did do it, it would've done it all. So I see the parts where there still is color as a sign that it's legit. I'm sure if a ball would have really lost its color in a shed, it wouldn't lose all it's color. There'd be patches I'd think.
Man...I so wouldn't mind having a ball that did that after shed. Or maybe it chooses to do that...secret chameleon gene. ;)

If it was Legit, you'd see more balls having that happen too.
Its fake, trust me ... blow up the picture in photoshop and look at it carefully, you'll see.

all i can say is if it is photoshop, then i hope he has a job getting paid to do something so authentic looking.it could be done in photoshop, but you couldnt do it that well with just a mouse, you need the pin-pointers. i hope to get one some day. i do think color can be left in though. or maybe if it was photoshop it was done with the intent to have specks here and splotches there. i can see yellow in it's spine, and around areas where you would excpect light to fall. very cool snake or very good photoshop user???

I'd say very cool snake. I might be mistaken, but haven't other people reported the same happening to their bp's? What are the odds that they'd fake pics of it too? :o

i agree. i think it is real.. i saw more photos of that happening. not as drastic of a change, but, changed a lot like that. i want roswell to do that.. he would save me a couple grand

    shedding is easy...
I would have to see pics of before/after, taken in the same lighting conditions. But I am a forever-skeptic, though. :)
Actually, the snake in my avatar (Bela) kinda changed a little in between sheds. She seems to be getting a bit brighter. But I really don't care, as long as she stays healthy and keeps eatin. :)

I just got a hold of a really cool Emerald... check it out :)
Really it is to demonstrate what can be done in Photoshop.... a quick hide all mask and some color adjustments. I went drastic to show the extremes that can be done. This also only took about five minutes to do so imagine what someone could have done with a little more time on thier hands.

Heres another quick slide of the color balance and hue and saturation :)

Three of the four died... the last one which happens to be the one in the pic above is doing awesome.
Sometimes even our best efforts can do anything to help, they were severely dehydrated, underweight, and had some other issues going on.
