Second and last clutch of the year

Well first clutch didn't even make it past 3 days out of the egg, stupid incubator went out and over heated 3 Pieds and 1 het Pied. So there went the first clutch. Second clutch was Pied to Spider, so all 100% het babies. :) They started coming out Monday and last one should be out today or tomorrow. Total is 4 Spider het Pieds and 3 Normal hets, so not bad for first try with mom. Baby number 7 hasn't came out yet, so no pics til then. Pics of Parents are at the bottom.

My gosh, what a bummer about your first clutch. 3 pieds! Heartbreaking. This clutch looks great though. That second normal has a really nice dorsal stripe.

I'm confused. Did you leave them in the incubator after they left the eggs?

Yeah, I had to get help moving a spot out for them and figured a few extra days in there wouldn't be an issue.

Gotcha...that's stinks. I know a lot of people leave them in the incubator until the first shed and I have no idea why...

btw...those Spiders are great looking...

Last Spider het Pied came out last night, tiny compared to everyone else. Only 61g compared to the others being 64-66g. I think the Pied gene is making the spiders look funkier than usual, not sure since you don't see many around.

That really sucks about your incubator :( Those spider het pieds are just awesome though!!! Congrats!

They were murdered, by the incubator!;)

Managed to get them all sexed. Looks like 3.1 Spider het Pieds and 0.3 het Pieds. Now to keep the lone Spider het or sell...
