age check???

i see a lot of posts about " my mom" kind of stuff. like "my mom won't let me get a bp". stuff like that. just curious to the average age here?????
I myself am 25, and my girlfriend is 20. our snakes are an undeterminted age. i am new to the herp world, and my g/f has been handling her snake a bit longer. it is nice to see some getting into it so young.. :w00t:

i'm 25 now, but i got my first lizard when i was about 13. even before that though my sister and i would collect caterpillars and other bugs and stuff in the yard and there was always a critter box or two in the house with something in it. my dad is a forester so he works outside a lot, and sometimes he would bring stuff home that he found in the woods. now i do realize that this is not so typical of most households, but i am so glad that my parents were cool with all that stuff. at the time they would much rather us be collecting critters than boys anyhow. :) i agree though that it is awesome for kids to be able to get into reptiles at a young age. i know my kids will. :wink:

Also old enough that I could legally drink in Illinois at the age of 18. Only for 2 months though.....they changed the law to 21 two months after I turned 18, now that stinks, one minute I was legall, the next......"We're taking you in son"

I am 25 and my wife is 25 she will be 26 in August.

Ironhead, didn't some states grandfather in those who were between 18 and 21? I know NY state did that, I THINK.....

Dont know about that, all I know is that I was legal and then I wasnt. But I took care of that....I joined the Army and 18 on base was legal. But I didnt join to drink......or did I? lol
