Is She Worth It??
I'm no expert on black pastels and honestly to me they look like normals with extra thick black but i really like what they can make, and i found this female for 150 so can anyone tell me if she's a good looking black pastel or can i find better for that price?

Re: Is She Worth It??
I like her. :)
Nice pattern on the neck and a good black back which should blush up nicely in the future. :salute:

I would look for something like these....

Great example of the morph. Solid black outlines in the alien heads.
I don't pick up many single gene hatchlings, but I got one of these girls :gj:

I would personally pass, IMO she's okay but not top notch quality. Here's my little girl from our own joebad976 (above) who IMO is stellar.

Re: Is She Worth It??
I did i actually asked for some better ones to help decide but still waiting on the reply but these are of her sister and i think they are both eating rat pups and i think without shipping it's 150 ea. and they also live in Miami so i might be able to save on shipping when i go back. but I'm still trying to decide because i might get from someone else from here. so here are the pics anyone think she's a good deal?

Re: Is She Worth It??
What is it you actually want to do with her in the future?
If you have a particular combo in mind it might suggest what kind of pattern might be the best match?

Re: Is She Worth It??
Well I'm trying to get two females, one to breed to another black pastel and one to breed with either a bumble bee male or lesser pastel male but i haven't really decided on that last one. but then to make super black pastels, should i be looking for the one with the most black?

Black pastels have the black squiggles inside the colored part of the alien heads. They also have a slight color difference, especially the head color. Cinny's have reddish brown heads with faded face stripes.

Cinnamon is more bronze colored while a Black Pastel is brass/copper colored and they have a nice bright dorsal stripe generally more solid as it gets closer to the tail.
The black inside the alien heads is the deciding factor. Cinny does not have them.
I think you are looking at a Cinny.

And yeah I'm starting to think so to, so I'd rather not go for it and just keep looking, thanks.

You're quite welcome, comparison pics help me learn the differences faster so I like to provide what I can. And thanks for the compliment, I like to keep good examples of morphs

Black pastels are awesome...I bought one a few weeks ago, baby, looks very underfed and very tiny...but he just finally ate his first two mice fuzzies within 5 days apart, which they actually leave a bulge in his belly,he's that's small...but atleast he is eating. Looking at these pics,I can't wait til he grows and thickens up

I'm still more of a Cinny fan all day but she's not bad I'm thinking of addin a few black pastels myself...I'd say she's worth 150
