This is very random but I have a crown royal bag, and I would love to put it in my snake's enclosure for snuggling? Is there any reason this wouldnt be safe? I'm a beginner and don't wont her being hurt or anything hahah! Thanks in advance

    lol.

As long as you launder it as frequently as you clean the cage, I see no reason why not. Just make sure it's washable.

My primary caution would be to make sure you take the cords out and make sure there are no loose threads or other "holes" the snake may crawl through, or try to crawl through and get stuck in.

If you feel like it would have some added value as "decoration" in the tank, so long as there is no way for the snake to get tangled in it, I don't really see any harm. However, they don't need things to "snuggle." A really snug-fitting place to hide is probably the best "security blanket" you can give 'em. :) That being said, the snake may like crawling inside it and hiding within.

umm.... stupid question.... might the BP ingest it?

like, accidently striking at it, and then it gets caught in the backwards pointing teeth or something? i mean, ive seen reports about snakes accidentally eating each other. and ive seen footage of a snake attempting to get a bird, but getting a mouthful of strong feathers instead. and because the feathers were stuck between the teeth, the snake had to swallow them.

that would really be a worst case scenario, when one day the thing is gone...

No more dangerous than paper towels.

follow-up question: are there ever cases of a BP accidentally eating a paper towel?

also its a bit of a difference, because a paper towel, while probarbly leading to strange poop, can be more or less digested. this stuff is plastic and would need to pass through in one big piece. i mean, its not paper or sphygnum moss or a plant leaf or some tiny wood pieces.

    Yes.

Paper towels aren't digested- they either pass through, or block the gut. Anything else would do the same.

I just gave Magnus one of my old ratty tank tops to make his hide more snug and appealing.

Lol that's exactly what I was worried about. You could stitch it closed if you really wanted to leave it in there.

You can't call a snake stupid for not understanding the physics involved with getting stuck in a cord. It's not as if they evolved to dodge them. This is like saying a toddler touching a hot stove isn't smart, when he has no knowledge of what "hot stove" means.

They're great for shipping. I picked up a pile of them from the local ABC liquor store. They had a 5-gallon bucket full. Apparently they get Crown Royal in for a lot of the local restaurants and the restaurants don't want the bags so they take them off. Pretty cool. :D

LOL it just seems appropriate to ship a royal in a Crown Royal bag. Now, if I could just afford to drink it...
