    What term do you use/prefer?
I say "Normals", but I've also heard others call them "Wild Type"

Which do you use? Do you use any other terms?

I've heard of "Classics" but use Normals.

I use the term that will give them the most ATTENTION :gj:

I say normal like most everyone else.

I can't stand the term "normal" but I use it. In the back of my mind I always worry about people seeing "Wild type" and thinking wild caught.

I use both terms at once when describing to people who don't know.

Normal. Since everything but combo's have been found in the wild..I guess it should be called Genetically "Non-deviated phenotype":rofl:

You could always refer to them as "regulars" lol

Depends on who I'm talking to. Since most snake people call them "normal", that's what I'll use when talking to snake people. When talking to non-snake people, I'll switch between "normal" or "regular" because that's what non-snake people seem to understand most. When speaking as a biologist or from a genetic stand-point, I'll often use "wild type", because in genetics that's what the "non-mutated" or "default" (though technically "default" isn't the right word) types are called. If I'm speaking as a biologist to non-biologists, I'll clarify the difference between "wild type" and "wild caught".

    Classic - I like that!

I call them normals. I see wild type mostly in genetic text. Classic's definition doesn't really fit imo.

I prefer normal. If I'm talking to someone who doesn't understand what a normal is (non snake people or new owners) I say wild type/color.
