    Lesser Pastel Spotnose I Think
So I bred my pastel spotnose male to a lesser female and these were the results. Still not quite sure what everything is. But I am pretty sure I hit the Lesser Pastel Spotnose.

So here are the hatchlings from the clutch:

    Lesser Pastel Spotnose?

I think the head would be faded more. That looks like a normal Lesser head.

Yeah, the lesser looks bright like a lesser pastel but I also don't think it is one. I've gone back and forth a couple of times thinking it could be a lesser spotnose, but it is too clean and lacks the busy pattern. Plus it doesn't have the spotnose head stamp. I have no idea what's going on. Even the "normals" are weird with reduced patterning and the dorsal striping like the lesser pastel spot and the lesser something. I've had it suggested that maybe one of the parents was carrying an extra gene and that is what we are seeing.

I would agree that it's not a Lesser Pastel or Lesser Spotnose, I would also agree that you've got something extra going on...congrats. :)

I second that you have something else going on or it is a result of some high quality adults. Nice Job :gj::gj:

Something else is DEFINITELY going on :gj:!! The lesser seems like a lesser x weird gene, and you also have some single weird-gene type babies too!

Nice clutch! I'm digging the stripes on those babies. Lesser something is gorgeous and I also like the 1st normal something :) Congrats! !

Thanks everyone! I'm pretty excited by this clutch. The two suggestions I've gotten so far s that maybe the extra gene could possible be fire or even enchi. The consensus is that the extra is coming from my lesser female breeder. I have a lemon blast female gravid from my pastel spotnose male, so hopefully that will help me to narrow things down.

Ok, here are some old pics of the parents.

Pastel spotnose male - I should also add that he is a pos het for VPI axanthic. His brother proved out last season:

    Lesser Pastel Spotnose I Think
Ok, so I just got back from the Hamburg Pa show and had few people look at the clutch and the pictures of the parents. The consensus is that my lesser female isn't a lesser but a platty daddy. And the feeling is that the lesser pastel spotnose is in fact a platinum pastel spotnose. This was given more credence when I spoke to the breeder of the lesser. He wasn't sure, but he said he long suspected that his original lesser male was a platty daddy. The other thought that came up was that the lesser may be a lesser pastel and the lesser pastel spot is a super pastel lesser spot. The platinum theory seems to be the one with the most weight. But I don't know that it explains the striping in the normals.
