I'd put her at a 4. If you're planning to breed, no need to mess around with a sloppy pastel gene. Enough of them already.

If it was 2500g, id say yes. But at only 250, id surely pass. So many bees out there, it pays to shop around ;)

This is mine at 1200g (female). I paid $375(CDN$) about 6 months ago maybe less

    http://i773.photobucket.com/albums/y...ps04c686f0.jpg

I think she's around 2.5 years old although I'm not 100% certain, I am waiting till October next year to start breeding any of mine.

She shed 2 days ago. I don't really notice any browning on mine, maybe a little bit on her back but she's (in my opinion) a really good example of a quality bumblebee (however I'm no expert)

Do you have pictures if this gorgeous girl when she was a hatchling? I'd love to see her when she was little! I bet she was mind blowing, because she's grown into a beautiful adult. I hope my male bee looks like yours when he's all grown up :) I love seeing pics of your bumble bee.

    Bee
What makes a Bumble Bee or even a Pastel bad or good? Someone told me my Pastel was about a 5 and I just got the Bumble Bee, so not sure what she would be. Here are pictures of mine, if anyone could explain what would make these less or more desirable than another one. I have not seen many of these snakes, so not really sure what to look for.

I would like to see better pictures, with better lighting. The bee looks ok. The pastel looks pretty dark tho.

Here is another picture, but light might not be better. But I'm not really asking how nice or ugly my pets are as much as what makes pastel or bumble bee better than another. Does it pretty much come down to color?
Also, what is the best light to look at or take pictures of snakes in? These 2 pictures look like 2 different snakes, but it is same one.

Color mostly, then pattern. You want a bright yellow, no dark oranges or browns. As far as pattern, depends on what you like. Generally, cleaner and reduced is worth more. Best lighting is one that captures the animals true colors. Usually daylight/ diffused bright lights.

Usually, daffodil yellow turns bright yellow as an adult while school bus yellow turns orangey. The spine usually tells you how much browning the bee will get - if you see a wide band of grey on the spine, that section turns brownish as they get older. So, a thin or absent grey on the spine is better. As far as the spider pattern on the bee, it depends on preference. Others like the reduced pattern, especially the thin stripes, while others prefer thicker blacks. But, in either case, the fewer black spots the better to have a clean looking bee.
