Black Pastel BP Male. new pick up ,oct 13

My friends 8 yr old daughter named him Slither. Picked him up at the L.I reptile expo

black Pastel. Male. ,exactly what I wanted and for the right price. It came down to a mojave and black pastel and albino. I just had to go with the black pastel. Again he was one snake I kept looking at the last few weeks. He's already met Aimme and Lulu,my cats. Aimee is the white one,that's my girl...

es the darker one will just watch them slither around. She def loves them,lol.. Aimee the white one,looks for a min or two and could care less... They all get along :)

ty man.. Yeah dude I been looking at them for a while,but of late even more. The black and the orange looks awesome. I am not into the lemon blasts or bumble bees or spiders etc...I was looking and they don't do nothing for me.. I was really liking the mojave and lesner platinum I saw.. If I am to get any more. Next would be lesser platinum and or the mojave. But I have 2 now and that's good enough...

Thnx man,he's a pretty boy,pretty strong and very curious and energetic...Well he acted like a jerk. when I asked first,his reply was mice,then I said hey man,relax then he said pinkies or fuzzys,so I just walked away...Funny thing is I was just looking at him and thought the same,so funny you said that. He has a lot of loose skin....I Wonder if I should try to feed him now..what do you think? I think imma try,I have about 20 frozen fuzzys..

when I first got my ghost he wasn't thick,not thin but regular,over the last month he has grown and thickened up,I'm very happy. I'm hoping this guy don bust my chops with eating

Personally I think you just bought a non-feeding hatchling, but you never know. He's either a problem feeder or he's been maintenance fed. I'd try either live rat pups or live hopper mice and hope for the best.

That loose skin is not normal...underfed and probably dehydrated...

p.s. don't take this as a slam on your new addition...he's a great looking Black Pastel, the seller on the other hand...

I had that feeling.. Cause at first I didn't notice the loose skin....now I odd..as soon as I put him in his enclosure,within 5 mins he was drinking water and I found that odd.. And no I don't take it as an insult by any means man.i appreciate the honesty and your help and opinion... Will do man,I will head to a local store tommorow and see what I can find..TY.. The breeder seemed like a real jerk:...I was close t being one back,but I'm past those days.

Thank you for that...there's enough of that going on these days...better to take the high road...

Keep us posted if you have issues feeding...we've all been there before...you never know...maybe the breeder was just starving him and he'll eat like a horse for you...:gj:

your welcome man and yeah dude,I'm 35 3 yrs ago I'd have tore him to pieces,lol...

I got his set up good,2 hides one on each side and the hot side is maintaining 86-88 and humidity round 45-50.... With a big water bowl..im going to defrost a fuzzy now and just give it a shot.. Sho, I def will keep u guys updated about his feeding.. Im ready to do what it takes to get this boy diesel :cool:... Thmx fort he kimd words man,lol

Well I just tried a warm FT fuzzy and he wanted nothing to do with it... Didn't wanna smell it ,or even pay attention to it...I'll give him a few days to settle in,get use to the warm temps and not be stressed and hope for the best...I may even try and see if I can find a hopper tommorow....or during the week.

Well he's a pig when it comes to live..in the 4 weeks I have him,he's ate about7-8 times for me.. I'm about to move him up to small mice,he's taking fuzzies down way to easily.
