    Snake Spasms....
I have a young snake that has started having spasms. He looks and acts normal when left alone, but as soon as you go near him or even when offering him food he spasms out. He will stiffen up, roll over then open his mouth. Kind of like a seizure, then hes back to normal. He is a 3 month old 180 gram Cinnamon. Has anyone ever seen this happen or have any idea what it is? BTW he is in a Sterilite tub and heating and everything is fine. All my others are doing great. He did refuse his food yesterday and today.

How long have you had him? Do you know if there were any incubation issues? Or any other cause for neuro issues?

Sounds like a seisure. Very strange. I'd see a vet - I hope it's not painful for him. Usually snakes open their mouth/roll over when they're in excruciating pain...

Have you sprayed any aerosols, lit candles, or used any chemical cleaning products of the sort near by? Body sprays? etc...

No, nothing like that. I will try to take a video of it when i get home. Maybe that will help.

I took some videos, but couldnt figure out how to put them on here yet. Still working on that. I talked to another member on here and we think he may have figured out the problem for me. I just moved this cinnamon from a small tote to one alot bigger. I didnt put any hides in there so we think he may just be really stressed out. I went and bought a small one tonight and will be transfering him to it in the morning. Plus adding a hide and covering him for a bit to see if that will help!

I'm sorry for your loss. Did you ever take him to a vet to figure out what was going on?

Yes and he said there was nothing physical or chemically wrong. Told me to watch him and if it got worse to take him in again. It never got worse, just stayed the same.

Wow thats really odd, so sorry to hear that. The curiosity in me would make me want to open him up and see if anything looks odd, not telling you to though. That really sucks! :(
