Does anybody really like baby corn?

So, I was at the store the other day with my daughter. She saw the baby corn (marinated crap in the jar) and wanted to try it. I told her it wasn't like real corn, and that she probably wouldn't like it. She wanted to try it still, so we bought some. And guess what? She didn't like it, lol. I was talking to my husband about it, and I said that stuffs just nasty. Idk who would eat it. So I'm curious, does anybody really like that stuff?

I actually don't mind it but I haven't had it in a while either so I may have changed my mind without knowing ;)

Wow, seriously? I LOVE baby corn. Whenever I make stir-fry, I hoard it, ahaha. It's the best. Even the juice it's canned in is good. :P Not that i drink it...lololol.

I guess that depends on how you prepare it. It's pretty good in stir fry, I don't think that eating it like corn on the cob would be very good though.

I don't like it. I've grown up with it constantly in Chinese stir fry and noodles that we always have at family banquets and dinners. I may eat it if I'm desperately hungry. But I don't like it in general and normally choose not to eat it.

When I was a child I made my mother cut off the teeny tiny niblets, as if it was "real" corn. Bless her heart, she actually did it for me :)

Growing up in a Chinese-Jamaican family, these baby corns would always find their way into the Chinese dishes! Good thing I love them.

I hoard them, too. ;)

mmmm baby corn. I'm one of few people I know who acctually do like it.

In stir fry, I love it. I don't think I've eaten in by itself, just outta the jar.

Love it. I always put it in stir fry and I'll put it on my salads anytime they have some on the salad bar...

I like it is stir fry but that is the only way. Grabbed some on a salad bar one time and put it on my salad and absolutely hated it.

I have to say I'm shocked people actually like it, lol.

Don't love 'em, don't hate 'em. If they're in stir fry I'll eat them. What a corny thread...

Love it love it love it. I use it whenever I can. Salads and stir fry mostly.

Omg water chestnuts make me gag, and so does baby corn...and sweet pickles. Nasty vile things. My girlfriend does like baby corn and water chestnuts though. I also thought nobody liked baby corn for a long time until meeting her

I love it.

The only time I've ever had baby corn has been in Asian stir fry dishes. And they are not bad. Nothing to write home about but they're not bad.

I like baby corn in my stir fry or chow mein. They taste kind of....blah otherwise. Water chestnuts I'm crazy about, I always put an extra can in my Asian dishes. Someday I hope to try fresh, because like most things, I've been told canned doesn't compare to fresh. I'm okay with bamboo shoots also, as long as they are young and prepared well. Older ones or ones not cooked properly can have disgusting thick threadlike things in them that make them impossible to eat.
