    Day 55 ( cut? Or wait? )
My clutch is on day 55. Denting pretty good. I candled them last night and all have strong veins and movement.

This is my first clutch. My question is this:

Should I cut? And is it safer for the babies? Or will they be safer & have a better chance if I don't cut?

I know I know. Use the search feature. I did and have been reading a lot. Just still wanted to ask.

It's your first clutch? Wait. I've cut a couple clutches, and I don't think I will be doing so again unless I feel the snake is in any kind of danger. I waited with my first clutch and it was worth the wait! I'd let it happen naturally at least the first time, there's no better feeling than checking eggs to find a little head pipped all on its own!

Just wait, hundreds of millions of years prepared them to do it on their own. Hundreds of millions of years of bacterial and viral evolution prepared them to strike vulnerable organisms, such as those sitting in a petri dish.

I'd wait for a few to pip on there own then I'd cut :) you get the best of both witnessing them pip themselves and then finding out what they are x

Well I actually did end up cutting them on day 55. All were alive when I candled them first. All are still moving after being cut.

    Question now is:

How long until they fully exit the egg?

That's your choice. I understand that. I won't be using the forum anymore.

That's a good question? When they are ready or possibly before.

    Here's an idea.

If your posts don't help and are designed purely to antagonise people - don't post them.

Your blood pressure will be lower and the forum will be a nicer place for all.

I've had issue with my eggs dying so I decided to cut on day 52. Mine hatched on day 56 and 58 out of two clutches. I incubated at 88.5*F. All babies hatched without issue and are all doing well.

Pairing? Show us pictures! We like pictures! :D

    Normal (female) x spider (male)

When I cut them it looks like (4) spiders (1) and two unknown.

Eggs are filled up to the top with liquid. So I haven't sprayed them.
