    Thanks everyone!

It hatched randomly from a pastel special x super mojave breeding. I saw the head and was confused based on the pairing but I had no idea what was about to hatch.

So what you SHOULD have seen is either a pastave, a Crystal, a pastel crystal or a mojave. That's really wild. What does the rest of the clutch look like?

The siblings are all crystals and a pastel crystal. I got good odds on top of this guy!!

Any funky indicators on the parents looking back? Or do we suspect this to be a recessive you have just stumbled on? That animal is amazing and definitely the next big recessive mutation if that is just a homozygous recessive base.

Forget worrying about what it is and just send it to me:D. Seriously though, incredible animal. And the thought of granite was the first thing to go through my head, right after WTF and HOLY molly.

Here are the parents breeding earlier this year. The super mojave is a possible pastel super mojave.

It looks too wild to be incubation related. It almost looks like a hybrid - you sure a burm or carpet didn't get loose and have its way with your female?

If you just stumbled on a ridiculous recessive - congrats! I'd hold onto all of those babies until it's sorted if I were you...

i would simply assume that its a simple recessive you stumbled upon. it looks stunning, imagine that in different color phases.

and then continue with the same pairing, and also breed this one and see what happens if you breed the 100% hets back. it needs to be proven out.

i am also reminded of hybrids.

Wow that is nuts....that is one Sweet Ball Python. Are the parents related in some way?....hard to believe on a simple recessive if they are not related but then again in this crazy hobby who knows what untapped genes our snakes are carrying. I hope it proves to be genetic and Congrats.

i say its either a 1-off random singularity / random mutation, or it is a recessive. (or some other pythong got to it and its a hybrid lol).

it would be awesome if it turns out to be genetic.

Maybe aliens beamed it up to change its mutation. All in the efforts to see humans ponder why this happened. Lol
