Which Butter is Better?
http://i1351.photobucket.com/albums/...ps9fbbdcee.jpghttp://i1351.photobucket.com/albums/...ps5d30e448.jpghttp://i1351.photobucket.com/albums/...pse07a3c77.jpg They are all the same size (roughly) and same price - I just cant decide which one I love more. They are all females - which butter do you think is better?! :) ~CRR

#1 looks much cleaner, and I like clean butters :)

Middle one. First one is clean but boring, third is a bad pic so can't really see much of her...

Re: Which Butter is Better?
Hey thanks so far everyone! I also forgot to ask if they were of high quality, or should I keep looking completely. If they are good examples of a Butter, then it's back to which one. :P Thanks again.

They're all fairly average representations of Butters/Lessers. It comes down to what you like and what your goals are.
I'd also urge you, if you haven't already, to ask the breeder things like what they're feeding on and how often, what the parents were, how they're being housed, etc. That information is much more valuable than what a bunch of randoms on a forum interpret as "quality"...

Re: Which Butter is Better?
I like the middle girl, I like how the yellow comes up her head a bit more, and I think her markings are prettier

I love #1. Such a neat, clean pattern.

#1 nice and clean with pretty coloration :)

Thank you. I already have an email out asking that info just waiting for a response. It's a very good point. I ask about quality only because I'm still learning about all the morphs and what's a "good example" (above average). Yes it may be just "randoms" but they may have more experience with morphs then I do! Which is why I always ask, so that I can learn from others. With that being said the health of any animal I buy is extremely important, which is why I appreciated your post.

It all comes down to what you personally prefer in a morph. Myself, I would take number one. I love the clean pattern of that girl, and her colors are nice. In the end, pick the one that stands out to you. There's nothing wrong with any of those girls, all nice average representations of the morph.

Re: Which Butter is Better?
Thanks. So out of curiosity what would be an above average example?

Which Butter is Better?
Of the three, I like #1 the best!

One of the things I think you should keep in mind is what you plan on pairing up. For example...If had a Spider and I was shopping for a Butter, I'd probably take #1 because I like the reduced pattern and think it would compliment the Spider gene. If I had a Pinstripe, for example, I'd probably go with #2 for the more random pattern, which I think would work really well with the Pinstripe gene. They're both "quality" Butters, but they each have different potential...
Now that I think about it, I really don't see too many Butters/Lessers that I'd consider low quality...I guess I'm just a sucker for 'em...:D

Re: Which Butter is Better?
Thanks. You have been really helpful and so has everyone. I'm not really sure what I want to do with her yet, but I agree I'm sucker for the butter/lesser gene and haven't really seen a combo with the gene I haven't liked.
