Quality of a fire.
I have the opportunity to purchase this girl. I think she looks pretty good with a sexy headstamp. She's not as "normal" colored as some fires and it's pretty clear that she's a fire. So...I want your opinions. Rate her on a 1-10 scale, please, with 1 being butt ugly and 10 being SUPER AWESOME. I'm not very well-versed in the fire mutation...so that's why I'm asking for opinions. I only want quality in my collection.
These pictures are from the breeder and he gets full credit.

I'd say 9 :) she's very clean especially towards the back end, and very bright overall. I like her a lot!

I'd definitely giver her an 8-9! She is fantastic in my book :gj:

Quality of a fire.
Nice reduced pattern, some blushing, good headstamp and color. I'd say a solid 8 :gj:

Re: Quality of a fire.
Thanks everyone! I rated her a solid 8 to a low 9 on my own personal scale. I love her color. The only thing I would like better is COMPLETELY reduced. However, I think she's pretty darn good. Best fire I've seen in a long time that I could actually see in my collection!

Re: Quality of a fire.
A solid 8. She has great blushing and I really like the couple of marks behind her headstamp. Congrats and thanks for sharing.

Re: Quality of a fire.
Clean pattern, mildly reduced with a nice vibrant coloration. The head stamp is always a bonus in ky book. I would say an easy 7.5-8. Would be good for alot of projects...
-
A clean solid 8.
She's got a killer headstamp, that's the first thing. She's got the bright tan/yellow coloring that trademarks a fire. She got strong blushing, deep red like it should be.
She doesn't carry a lot of belly flames like some do, but she has a few and that trait is easily bred for. All in all a very solid animal that would be a great addition to any collection.

I can already picture their offspring...

I like all fires. This one doesn't necessarily wow me. I'd say 6 or 7.

Well, what do you look for in a fire that this one isn't bringing to the table??

Yeah...I'm really hoping to see some good babies from them when she's old enough. I've also got another reduced, banded normal with nice blushing and flames that he'll be paired with.

Oh nice! Hopefully some of that blushing rubs off into the babies. Right now im trying to beef up my visual pied male and his het for pied girlfriend, she wont be ready this season though. May need to look into another visual female. Great now.im thinking...this is always dangerous LOL. I cant wait to see some of these fire babies, how big is your bluahed female?

I hope they do! I REALLY love this yb. I'm breeding him (yb het hypo) to a het hypo female in a couple of weeks in hopes of a yb hypo female from him!

She is about 1000g. She went off feed for awhile, but she's back on feed with a vengence. I'm still debating on breeding her for a late clutch, or holding off until next season. Here's a picture of "fluffy"

Quality of a fire.
Just my 2 cents... Down the road it would be a good idea to throw a male with the enchi gene in it to fluffy ;)

Already thought of that ;) I'm just trying to find a sexy enchi! I'm super picky when it comes to the gene. So once I find said enchi/enchi combo...it will immediately have a date with Fluffy. If I breed her this season, it'll be to a firefly possible yb male.

I want her to hit 1400g min. When she eats, she's a beast! Now that she's slamming food, shed definitely be ready by January/February. I've already got 2 late clutches coming so I have to also think about if I want a third late clutch or wait and hope to try for an early clutch next season.

I like clean fires like that too . I've just not been able to find one. This fire is as clean as I've been able to fund with the right color and headstamp. I've just decided I'll make my own clean fires

It is well in the right direction to line breed as a single gene, and also wpuld be a great asset to projects that hide the "clean" look. All in all, well worth the investment. Just my .02.

Call me crazy, I like dots.

That's not a problem! I know a lot of people who like fires with a lot of dots! it's all about personal preference.
