No clue, hopefully Nikki or some one more experienced can help you with it. I just started in breeding rats, its definitely cool looking though. :gj:

Looking fawn. There *might* be another dilute in there, but I can't tell for sure.

On a different note, love the marking on the piebald! Not your typical hoodie.

Those are adorable pictures! I love the golden orange shade he is! My fawns aren't quite that rich.

Fawn is Agouti + RED, Silver Fawn is Agouti + PED. This little guy/gal has dark eyes, so Fawn. The darker shades of Fawn are generally achieved with less dilutions in the line. :)

Gorgeous color! Now that I've been breeding for about 10 months for food I am starting to play around with certain animals as hold backs. Right now I'm selecting for long hair and trying to make a rat with out the dark stripe down the white back but still with the dark head. No idea what it is called.

Sounds like you are aiming for bareback or capped? Bareback has the colored head down to the shoulders, while on capped the color is restricted to just the head.

Starting with barebacked then and may work my way to capped!
