Definitely looks het hypo to me :) Lol I can see the pastel and that's about it. I'm garbage at IDing YB, but I'm not really seeing granite...

Looks like a black back pastel to me I don't see granite or yellowbelly.

Pastel yes, granite not to sure on, and yellow belly.. possible seeing the flames and fading, would need a belly shot. As for the het. hypo you would need to get another het hypo or a proven het hypo and prove yours out. Very beautiful snake too! Love the contrast!!

I definitely see some flames, but I dunno if they're YB quality :) Can you post any full body stretched out shots? Or maybe more of his sides?

i dont see yellowbelly. i see pastel.

and i dont know nearly enough about granite to make a call. het hypo is invisible anyway.

and bengal... some arcane recessive that only NERD is working with, and when there is a gene only NERD is working with, my default position is to doubt its existence until proven otherwise.

Unfortunately it looks like you got taken for a ride bud.

And isn't Bengal just 'genetic' banded? If so, that snake isn't banded either....

Bengal....no....

Pastels are usually $75-150 for babies/juvies

Might I ask how much the seller sold it for?

I only see pastel. It's lacking other features.

If you don't mind me asking as well how much did he charge you?

This was payment for a welding job but he is certain but will make it good today.

i have to say, i am all for public shaming.

there are laws against public shaming of corporations mainly in the USA, hurting a business is such an offense that freedom of speech does not matter, and there is an exception to freedom of speech when it comes to public shaming of a company.

In other nations, individuals are protected but corporations are free game. and individuals that have a one-man-business are not protected.

Correct they are NERD line of genetic reduced pattern and are recessive, I also don't know many people working who have done so long enough to produce combos, I know Robin (Rabernert) has a combo male (from Kevin) and I have a male Pin Pied Het Bengal and a female Enchi PH Pied Het Bengal.

Not to mention this is not reduced at all ;)

Yeah bengals are pretty pronounce though. It's obvious when you're looking at a bengal.

I'm new to IDing, but I only see a pastel too. I'm not sure what to look for for the granite, but it doesn't look like yellow belly IMO. Don't take my word though.

No need to tell, but if you don't mind what dollar amount was this snake supposed to be carrying as compensation?

I didn't think I saw anything but pastel either but I wanted some other opinions. I brought this ball back to the breeder and politely asked to exchange it for something else and picked up a granite YB het hypo male and a female melanistic YB het hypo. And they are definately what they are said to be aside from the hypo which will have to be proven thru breeding. I'll post pics later.

Huh? Freedom of speech applies to the government restrictions on speech, not about what is said about or between people and corporations. And you can say anything you want about a person or corporation as long as it's true.

As for the OP, I'm glad he and the seller worked things out.

I see a pastel also. It has the contrast that I've seen with granite pastel, but I don't see the granite speckling.

Someone told me the pastel sometimes takes the belly marks out.

I am sorry if this comes off as rude but why would anyone in their right mind pick up an animal and not know for a fact what it was? I mean it is different with poss hets but something like this totally blows my mind. I do not see anything but a pastel in those pics and I am very sorry for the loss of money on the purchase.

The reason I took the snake not knowing for sure is because this guy is an established breeder who sells at the Repticons and knows more about the morphs than I do and told me that Tim Lane also a well known breeder told him what it was. But I brought this snake back and received for now two snakes a1.0 granite YB het hypo and 0.1 Mel. YB het hypo. And I'll get a pied hatchling when they hatch next summer.
