    Help female unexpectedly gravid
so my het albino female (1200+g) has been off feed for about a month now and just the other day i was examining her and she has 4-5 "egg lumps" i can see them very clearly it lookes like she ate 4 med rats one after another but they are in the last 1/3 of her body and i have no idea what to do please help me!!!

Did you pair her, or recently acquire her? Has she been paired in the past? How old is she?

she is a 2010 she was paired last with my male pastel and in december and i witnessed about 10-12 good locks but nothing ever cam till now and i have had her since 320 grams i got her on 4/20/2011 (slow weight gainer despite "power feeding") they are extremly large to just be building follicles how close to lay might she be

Could you post a pic for us? We'll be able to give better estimations if we can see what we're working with.

If you were pairing, surely you're prepared for babies in some form? Do you have an incubator/maternal inc plan?

actually by pure coincidence yes i just got board and built an incubator not long ago have a egg box set up and all just wasn't expecting to see the lumps at this time of the year i will go take pics right now and post them

Well, once we figure out if you've got an ovy on your hands or not, you can go ahead and get that puppy up and running! :)

I do have a couple more questions...
How large was she when you started pairing her?
Have your temps been steady between December and now?

They work if you right click and open in a new tab, but OP you forgot the IMG tags. I have no breeding experience, so I'm of no help, but good luck :)

Just let her be, u might have a couple weeks yet. The closer she gets to laying it will look like all the fat was sucked out of the end of the tail to a few inches up, thats when she's real close, but im no expert im pretty nee to the breeding game. After she's laid carefully take her out, remove the eggs careful to keep the same side up and put them in your incubator and thoroughly clean everything inside, replace bedding, scrub water bowl hide and any decoration to get rid of the egg smell

Those definitely look like eggs. When did she last shed? She should lay eggs about 30-40 (sometimes more) from that date.

Then you still got plenty of time before a lay, but yes, I'd say that's an ovy. Congrats! get ready for eggs!

they look like eggs to me. don't try and figure out when she's going to lay, but be ready well before she does. start the incubator now and let it run before she lays. just slowly slide open her tub twice a day (around every 12 hours) and check for eggs. sometimes they are coiled around the eggs so well you don't even see the eggs. so look carefully without disturbing her as little as possible. now is the time to post here how you have everything setup for the eggs. so if something is over looked or wrong we can get it right before they come. waiting is the hardest part. good luck don

incubator willbe up and running in the am had a boaescape and get stuck in the wall been trying torescue hime for 6 plus hours andno luck...

Incubator will be set at 89 degrees f with VE 200 thermostat set on proportional heating mode i built the bator myself out of a mini fridge/ electric coolerhas an old Hova bator heating element mounted to the top and will have cup of waterunder the shelf for extra humidity, therewas a built in fan in the midle of the cooler and i set it up to where it kicks on and of every .5 seconds with a 12 volt repeater i think it is pretty much good to go

sorryfor all the typos it is curently4:20 am exatly and lack of sleep is seriouslykicking my ass

Wow! I hope you can get that bator stabilized quickly. You may want to up the humidity in her tub until you can put them in the incubator.

WOW! She did NOT give you much warning time, so sharp eye! I also say bump her humidity until your 'bator is foolproof. =] Best of luck! Show us pics of mom on eggs! CONGRATS, even if a bit sudden!
