    Stop talking about it.
Okay... It's even in my signature now... So chill out about my Dumeril's enclosure.

Is that whining? You know, the very BEST way to get people to stop doing something is to whine about it. Good job.

Sorry if it comes off as rude, but I've probably said that I bought a display enclosure about ten times and everyone ignores it, so..

All you're doing by making these kind of threads is painting a target on yourself. Just ignore it instead of taking dramatic action - you're just fueling the fire.

That's like telling shrimpy kids that if they stop complaining about being bullied that the bullying will stop

So everyone ignores it and you figured this would get attention :confusd: , that's a mature way to go about it and start some more drama

My advice instead of trying to have the last word and keep answering, just walk away, stirring the pot yet again is not gonna help.

Well if I need help deciding on which new pet(s) to get, and everyone starts talking about my Dum's enclosure instead, my question will go ignored... It takes maybe five minutes to stay updated on threads, and I've repeated myself a lot of times, so I don't really see how this keeps coming up.

Suggestion. Maybe stop posting pictures of your temporary enclosures??

No offense, but they are really sub-par to my personal standards. I have a feeling others possibly feel the same, which is why you are getting so much grief.......

If you like them, then good for you.
I'm not trying to sound mean, but this is just my personal honest opinion.....

My only bad enclosure is my Dumeril's enclosure. And my corn snake & male BCI need more newspaper, but that's nothin'.
    Thanks for the suggestion, though.

Half logs aren't good hides for bps, imo. So that could use some improvement. Why don't you slow down and get the animals you have properly situated. Then be properly prepared for the next animal before you get it.

We've only really seen your corn and Dumeril's temporary enclosure, so that was what everyone was most likely judging...

I look forward to seeing your AP T8 in the future. Those are really nice.

Let's do a complete update right here to settle this and then we can all get along, put it aside us.
    My Ball Python
(I need to put his humid hide back, though)
    http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7388/9...04d4b8f59d.jpg
And I know that log hides aren't very secure. Here's what I did to fix that.
    http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7423/9...b79658a317.jpg
Not only is it stuffed with shredded newspapers, but... I added a rock "door". He can hardly slip in and out so it seems like he feels more secure because he likes to peek his head out and look around.
    http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5509/9...73187b6a67.jpg
My Female Pastel Salmon BCI. Both of her hides are stuffed with shredded newspapers, too.
    http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5326/9...1544c9cd7d.jpg
    Male Normal BCI
    http://farm4.staticflickr.com/3715/9...1e850e7c38.jpg
    Female Snow Corn Snake
    http://farm4.staticflickr.com/3774/9...63294b3615.jpg
And my Dumeril's. I know her enclosure is obsolete, but I bought her a T8, and it is a quick ship item. It will ship within 10 days of payment, and I finalized my order yesterday, the 24th.
    http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5467/9...e689ab65ef.jpg

And here is what all of that minus my Dum's looks like. Duma is in the living room.
    http://farm3.staticflickr.com/2863/9...ff0a2a322e.jpg

Please let me know if you see any issues with my setups

Trouble is, you shouldn't have "temporary" enclosures. Be PROPERLY prepared, or don't get them until you are. Why should the animal have to "temporarily" live in substandard conditions, because you couldn't wait?

Why have an animal if you can only afford a "bad enclosure" ? ( your words, not mine )
Since the beginning, when I didn't know a whole lot about genetics, and breeding, my care was on-point. Why have and animal if you can't provide proper enclosures? Seems pointless to me. It's like having a nice Mustang and putting a Prius engine in it.

And for Gods sake, if it took everyone on this forum to harass you, in order for you to get a proper enclosure for your animal, are you SURE you need this animal?

It's like us, before you move into a nice house, throwing you in a cardboard box with bad conditions and saying "oh, it's only TEMPORARY". The only "temporary" enclosure you should have is a quarantine habitat, which should be sufficient for a normal enclosure, but simply a QT enclosure.

Get the :cens0r: outta here with that jive. I have had her for two and a half weeks. You're acting like she's been living like this for years, and I am making a change because of you... Why own several snakes in an apartment and hide it from you manager??? that's even worse, imo.. I bought the enclosure, and started studying these enclosures before I even joined this site. Why's it always got.to be like that?
Show me someone who hasn't made a single mistake since they've started keeping snakes, and I'll show you a liar...

Eric, you were told on another forum about your huge and rushed collection of animals, animals you took in when you had others that didn't even have thermostats. You repeatedly ignored advice when people told you to slow down and think of the animals. You got all these animals in roughly a 2 month period.

So the enclosures your other animals are in are permanent? Only your Dum was a temp? Sorry but your other 'enclosures' look worse then most temps i've seen. As for looking for more animals, honestly?

Yeah? Explain how those are bad enclosures? I'm very interested in whether you honestly see issues with my setup or you haven't gotten over your little vendetta.

Well, those tubs aren't going to last the boas long.

Your ball python would probably appreciate two matching hides and 3 sides covered.

Your corn would probably enjoy more than one hide.

For one I keep my crested geckos in tubs that size, I have NEVER kept my boas in anything that small, I don't know how you could think those would be proper, your corn looks like you haven't looked at it in awhile, no place to hide, water looks dirty (though that could be the picture)

The biggest thing though is I don't know how you can get a proper gradient in those 'boxes'. The corn though honestly looks like something I would find for sale on craigslist.

We had a lizard in one of my elementary school classes. One day it went under a rock that was in its cage and managed to shift the weight of the rock just enough and it was crushed to death. It happens. I don't like using anything heavy in my cages because of that. I know a lot of people do, but I've seen first hand what can happen.

Hmm.. So you say that those are too small for my 15" - 20" boas? PSH... All their waters are clean, and my corn snake has a hide. Looks like my suspicion was right. You just seem to have a grudge against me as you always have. You don't have any real reason why those don't work... Temps + humidity is fine, water cleaned daily, etc. My setup is perfect.

I don't need constant attention. But I fixed my mistake. I bought an enclosure, to replace the fail of a custom enclosure I built, but everyone still feels the urge to jump in and make ridiculous comments. It's not cool. And I can't share anything with these people. I could upload a video of my snake crawling around it's enclosure and everyone would freak out and say it's crawling the wrong direction. My interests don't include being a jerk, so I don't think I can share any interests with some of the members here. For example... Valvareen saying my water looks dirty, and a 30" x 16" x 12" enclosure is too small for a 15" boa.. Lol people are just looking for reasons to be D-bags.. That's not cool.

Using Zilla thermometers (my acurites aren't in there anymore)
    Hydrofarm thermostats
Enclosure temps are 75° cold side, 93° hot side, all around 65% humidity (67% when I checked a few days ago).
