Anyone Here Draw With Pencils?

So after more than 20 years of not seriously drawing, I was recently inspired to pick up a pencil again.

I stopped because it got to the point where I was a perfectionist. If one line was out of place I got mad and wanted to throw the whole thing out.

But now I've got the itch and I think I can manage to not "rage quit" now.

I am mostly interested now in manga/anime style drawing. DBZ characters are pretty easy to draw.

Anyways, if anyone is willing and able I'd like to see some of your pencil sketches regardless of style. I hope maybe eventually I'll be confident enough to post mine.

I don't have anything recent to share. I used to do a lot of art work, including pencil sketches, watercolor and acrylic paints, and pastels. Lately I just haven't had the time, but I do really want to get back into it.

I love drawing with pencil and colored pencils. But mostly, I draw animals and wildlife. Ill have to post up a few pics...

I did a lot of manga style art for a few years back in high school.
They did start out as pencil sketches, but most been inked over. I'll look for some of my old sketchbooks in the garage later.

Man I've always wished I could draw. It's the one thing that I never could do well.

In terms of flat work I usually only do graphite with some ink and charcoal works mixed in there. I haven't drawn anything in a good two years due to other things, but here's two old pics:

Both of these are damaged, but i snapped a few quick crappy cell pics. The foxes are at least 15 years old. Havent really done much but doodle every now and then for the past several years, as i dont have the time any more. However, i did make the time to draw the design for next tattoo :p

That's really cool. I like the touch of putting the spider web pattern under neath.

Nowadays I really doodle in ballpoint pen (because that's what I use in most of my classes, and when there's paper in front of me I can't help myself lol) so I looked around for any of the stuff I did in pencil, and this all I found:

And this is my most recent piece. I got frustrated with the arm though and put it aside for a while. Usually if I put it out of sight and don't focus on it until the "I want to draw!" urge hits again, I end up drawing better than if I force myself to keep at it.

I'll admit, I haven't drawn much more than doodles, what with working and school taking up a lot of my time. But I love anime/manga-styles!! I wish I could get to the point where I can do all that crazy detail like some of the styles.

i wish my computer was working right now so i could upload some of my stuff (Using IE on my xbox360 right now) as soon as comp is fixed ill share some of my work. i also love to draw anime style and love drawing dragons too...i have some older stuff on DeviantArt.com

I am amazed by how realistic some of these drawings are! I don't draw as much as I used to. This is the only stuff I've really done lately. I drew them to paint on t-shirts.

wish i had taken some pictures of the process.. dunno if this counts, but it started out as pencil. lol then i came in with water colors and after that finished the outlines and details with a micron pen.

Yay, a chance to share art! I love the works that other people have posted but, like someone else mentioned earlier, I tend to do a lot of my doodling and sketching in ballpoint pen. I share a perfectionist tendency with the original poster and when I have an eraser on the end of my medium, I use it hard. But when I use ballpoint pen, I can't erase so I force myself to work around any mixups that I might not necessarily be pleased with.

I'll have to scan some of my newer pencil sketches but so far this high class ankylosaurus was the only doodle I could find in pencil:

you're not really suppose to. lol it was a project for my drawing 2 class. we had to go through some comic books and find shapes we liked and cut them out with an exacto knife. then we had to arrange them in an "abstract" design. it wasn't suppose to look like anything recognizable really. then we had to draw it scaled up a good bit and make it look as close as we could to our "layout" we made. it was fun, but the whole process from beginning to end took around 40 hours.

I think some of you should draw me some stuff, who's up for it?
