CONGRATS hockeymom, You had me worried there that the clutch wouldn't produce a pied.
I just love her head markings!
Well I know she will end up in a great home.
    Thanks for responsibly breeding.

She's fabulous! Maybe you can barter her for a male instead and go directly to where you want to be.

How much are you going to sell that beautiful ball for? If you don't mind me asking.

I am going to ask $10,000. for her, or $6,000. and 2 female pastel BP's. The market price has dropped to 8,000.-10,000. But her markings are really cool. Just the right balance of white and pattern. I might have to come down some, but I am not in a huge hurry to sell.

    Thanks blink-
My two youngest think I'm a cool mom between the reptiles and playing hockey, but I just enjoy not growing up. My 14 year old son is totally at that hormonal overlaod point in puberty that he hates everyone. So 2 out of 3 not bad.

How could he hate you with all those reptiles?!
My mother never let me keep any reptiles, he should be thankful.

    Yeah-
well it seems like the more I try the more he hates me. I am hoping he will grow out of it, he really is a great kid he's just found a way to push my buttons cause he can upset me. We are in a major power struggle. I hope it doesn't last too long.

Thanks guys, but you know kids are so different today. I think I talked back to my mom twice and each time I got smacked in the mouth and that was it. I never got crazy about it. I didn't like the response so I changed my behavior, Not my son. I guess we had a lot less stress and anger in our time. (Cough..) well my time you guys are probably a lot younger than I am. Everyone today seems so mad, especially the kids, it's just kind of sad.

He'll come around I'm sure, all you can do is hope you've raised him right (which I'm sure you have). Teenage angst sucks, hoping my daughter doesn't get it too bad (she's 10 so I've got a few yrs. before we cross that bridge...if I'm lucky anyway!).

Teen rebellion is a requirement. Just keep your wits as much as you can. My older daughter will be 14 in a couple of months and she's rebelled about numerous goofy things so far. I'm just hoping to keep the outright hostility to a minimum.

I remember like it was yesterday...
I was a very angry and bitter person as a teenager, but I certainly grew out of it. I used to give my parents so much crap...
Now I really appreciate the bounderies and rules they set. They kept me out of trouble. I have turned out to be a fairly good person I think, and it is thanks to them.
Just try to be patient

    Hockeymom,
    Beautiful bp, congrats! Great markings.
I understand about the 14yo and the "wish you would go away and leave me alone"
You sound like a cool mom, he will one day look back and see how lucky he was.
I try to stay young and do fun and cool things w/ my son. We use to play street and roller hockey together, go parasailing , bungee jumping etc. But now I am just not cool enough
It will pass, keep up the good work.

Heh, Yeah Marla is right ... he'll be a hermit in now time ...
I remember when I never wanted anything to do with my parents during my teenage years, which aren't that far behind me lol ...since I'm only 19 =/ ...
Trust me, once he moves out as I have ... he'll be missing you like crazy.

Yeah, I'm 14 and I know us teenagers can be really hard on our parents but we don't really mean to, we still love ya! lol I have really thought about what all I've said to my mom and dad and im embarassed and ashamed about it, I was really hard on them, but I didn't mean to hurt them. We feel like we need "our" space and don't like to spend as much time with our parents than we use to, but sometimes when I just sit in my room I think about all the things I've done to them and feel bad, but trust me it will get better.

    Good Eye.
My husband saw that too, and I told him that it looks similar to other pied patterns but he insisted on naming her "Smilie" Even though it's not a smile, it's kind of a frown.

    Hockeymom,
I know you'll find a great buyer for Smiley. He is beautiful.
As for your son, he will come around.
I grew up in "the system"; I met plenty of people full of angst before I was able to become emancipated. I was one of them for a long while. To be honest I still am, I was just one of the lucky ones to find a positive placement for angst to turn into function. I’m thankful on a daily basis that I was able to find the strength I found, then and now.
You both will meet in the middle, I am sure sometime during both of your adventures..
And it will make it all worth while.
    Keep your head up
    Rusty

    Absolutely stunning.

    Thanks for sharing.

And by the way, hang in there. I was nothing short of being a jerk to my parents. I grew out of it and became very close to my parents.

    Take care and congratulations!
