My 2nd biggest girl shed last night and I've got the shed drying right now. Just thought I'd show y'all a picture of it. Shed measures 11' not stretched, just laid flat. Obviously still a little longer than the snake but you get the idea...

Ya it's a trip! My biggest girl is 8'3" so her shed will be my biggest yet! Hopefully she doesn't mess it up too bad getting it off so I can have a nice big 1 piece shed to pin up in my snake room :)

    Jealous.

Haven't gotten a full shed to keep from my girl yet. I never catch it fast enough.

Ya all my snakes get full sheds every time, and it's usually in one piece, but they somehow seem to tear it in half AFTER its already off of them lol

She sheds in one piece but its all squished up and dry once I usually find it. Last time she shed, she was perched
In her branch ontop of it :/

Nuts. That is a really good idea. My big boy just shed last night and it was all damp and easy to unravel. I should have done this. Would be interesting to see how they compare (he's an Argentine). Alas, I just threw it away. Maybe next time.

Thanks for sharing - it's really neat to see the shed laid out like that! :gj:

Soak it in water, you can even use some baby shampoo. If they sit too long they stink so a little warm water and gentle soap does wonders!

Lol thank you. My BIG girl is shedding right now. Athena is about a foot and a half longer than Hera.

I'll get pictures as soon as I get it stretched out.
