Beat the odds on this one!

Bred a male pastel lesser pied to a very small picky-feeder pinstripe female. She laid three eggs, two fertile. Got one normal and one EMPEROR (het pied of course). Once I saw them pippng then I just hoped for a little more luck that it would be a girl...and sure enough, SHE is! The female pin is a VERY picky gerbil feeder, which even then she is on and off. So she was only around 1100g at 4 years old!

Congrats! How did you know the pastel lesser Pied had Pastel in it? Was it from a super pastel breeding? I have a lesser pied male that is possible pastel...

Thanks everyone. I have been producing pastel lesser pieds for years now. Regular lesser pieds have a pink hue to them, whereas pastel lesser pieds are as white as you could imagine!

ok, thanks. Mine does have a pinkish hue to it, so its probably not pastel.

Sweeeet I can't wait to make some Emperors. My Lesser hasn't eaten in months :( So i can't breed her yet. Here's to hoping the mojave at least hooks up.
