    Okay,
So I purchased a good sized Garter snake just for giggles to add to my snake collection and would you believe out of all my snakes this little bugger is stone mean. He/she is a pure display snake...totally unhandleable, extremely high strung, will vent its cloaca in a second and will not hesitate to bite. Crazy... I just keep him/her in its enclosure and toss in goldfish and run like #@!#

Too funny... I sure am glad that she/he is not bigger....I can just imagine what it would be like to deal with "Pyscho" ( my name for it ) if he/she were the size of a reticulated python or something.Sheesh. So much for Garter snakes being these cute little toy snakes if you know what I mean...I got a Garter that is insane in the membrane...hehehehhehe

You should try to handle the one you are going to get before you even think of getting it.

But that is pretty crazy! Sounds like you got a psycho. Maybe you should wear rubber gloves and handle it.

ah...it is no big deal when she bites...it is just the principle of the thing if you know what I mean. This funny garter is so mean it is ridiculous...it is actually rather amusing. I just leave her/him to itself and just watch as it eats and hangs out. Every snake hobbyist should have a Garter snake...your collection really isnt complete without one...heh heh heh...

Interesting addition, good luck with it. How's her diet so far? Is she eating the goldfish ok? I've heard of people having hard times keeping them because of the different kind of diet they have.
