Escaped 10ft fanged ball python attacks woman in Wales
This was published today in the 2nd most read "news" paper in the UK.

Unfortunately, some people will believe this nonsense.

There is so much missing in this report - what kind of snake was it? They pictured a BP but there is no way that bite is from a ball python not to mention the ridiculous notion of a 10 foot ball python... I've been bitten by a 10 foot boa when I was intoxicated (I know I know...) And the alcohol will explain greater bleeding but I've never heard of an allergic reaction to a python bite.. that's just me - this report is ridiculous.

3" puncture wounds, but no other tooth marks. What kind of python would leave only 2 puncture wounds??

The first sentence explains it "A pub goer". Seems she was drunk and probably hallucinating as well. :8: :absolut::omg::disbelief

    Yep, this is pretty silly.

She didn't even SEE a snake, she was told by paramedics that it looked like a snake bite. How can anyone really know what happened there? Oh well, at least she seems okay with it. Probably isn't going to start campaigning against reptile ownership.

I guess the newspaper just seized it because it's such an unusual story. But it saddens me to see snakes used as shock value.

OMG. Trying not to laugh at the one comment comparing the UK to Florida and the probability of Burms breeding in the UK...... outside.

Tell me that the weather and temps of the UK is not your average British herpers biggest fear regarding their pets health. I am sure they spend a bit just compensating for the ambient conditions to recreate the environment their pets need to thrive. I almost feel bad for that commentors ignorance, not quite but almost.

Most commentators are like Bill O'Reily when he talked with that guy from Athiests Inc. (Google "the tide goes in, the tide comes out")

They really are smart, but as soon as they get in front of the camera they only look to further their own agenda.

The bad thing is that Wales only has 1 venomous snake if I'm not mistaken which is the Adder. Though if I even recall more correctly it's not even that bad.
