Title says it all! You don't see many pastels that hold their color. Actually, many of the pastels I see on the market are already mostly brown straight out of the egg....
It saddens me when people think that a pastel should be orange or brown.

Thank you! I once had someone tell me how my Spotnose remind me of their pastel..... It makes me question what the future of this hobby is going to look like. So many people are going for cheap vs quality.
I paid a good 4 times market value for this girl and she was worth every penny.

If I could thank this more, I would. This will give good quality breeders an edge though when it comes to producing quality animals. Sure, the hobby is going to get larger and more diluted, but that will in turn increase the customer base for quality animals when they get addicted. Keep on the straight and narrow path of never compromising to save a buck and it will pay off!

Exactly! There are maybe one or two animals in my collection that don't meet my "expectations" but still have their value for my breeding program and I have grown attached :)
I have paid for the quality of a lot of animals in my collection. People always ask if I tried to talk them down, but honestly, if I think an animal is worth it I pay every cent they are asking for it.

You definitely got what you paid for. We strive very hard for quality not only for our customers but for the future of the hobby. We love our animals and love the hobby, we want to see it continued.

If my black back super pastel produces pastels as nice as I think he will, he will be paired with her to produce some of the best pastels and super pastels on the market. If not him then most likely our Dan Wolfe calico.

Thank you! She is darting to "brown out" which is just a darker yellow for her instead of brown.
I purchased her from a guy named Steven Parker. His username is sdparker55 on fauna.

Some say she looks like a pastel het clown. I don't see myself ever pairing my clown to her to try because I don't like pastel clowns. Lol

Very nice!! I've watched her since you picked her up. Pretty sure she's not a Het Clown, so I don't think you have any of that influence cleaning things up.
Any chance she is a Citrus Pastel. Amir had some looking just like her at Daytona. Nearly pulled the trigger on one, but had some other pickups ahead of that to get.

From the information I gathered, she might have some Lemon pastel in her background. She was from a pastel enchi x "blurry" normal. The male was on a breeding loan and I never saw photos of the male, just the female.
I was told the sire was a poss lemon pastel enchi.

I work almost exclusively with lemons, straight from NERD. She does have a lemon look to her. Do be aware that lemon hatchlings go through an ugly duckling stage until about their 5th shed when you make babies with her.

When i finally get around to adding pastel i think it will be a baby from that hottie. Shes amazing and i'm eager to see if she ever browns out at all. The forecast looks doubtful lol

Where most pastels brown out she seems to just be getting a slightly less vibrant shade of yellow.... I can't complain because she is simply stunning!
