    Don't feel bad, my rufous when I start to open the tank they start to go back in their burrow. The only one that really won't go running is my small one and as soon as my hand goes in he comes to it.

    The other ones I have to sit there and upturn substrate to find them, and when I do they shoot around the tank like a rocket. Though once they're out they pretty much calm down.
