The Kubota, a brand new CalKing Morph

I'm not sure if I'll stick with this name, but I needed to call it something. This is the best of the few that were produced. I've never seen anything like it. If anyone else has, I'd sure like to know about it. This little guy is out of the InkDrop line, but I have a few others who have a grandparent in common but are otherwise unrelated. I was very surprised to see them. They are out of a coastal female but are black and white, no brown or yellow. The markings are not as clean, there's some black washout between the circles, but the basic pattern is the same. I don't have pictures of the others as yet.

Pretty darn cool though. Certainly cool enough for its own thread.

Ohh that is so cool! Like a little Dalmatian-snake :D

From a distance I'd be stumped as to what this was, it doesn't look at all how I imagine kingsnakes, lol. Congrats!!

    Pure awesome. Congratulations. :gj:

    Never seen anything like it.

    Possible alternatives for morph name:

    Dalmation
Super Drop(not a super but look at all those drops)
Rorschach(though if you could get this snake mixed with an aberrant, then it could be called a rorshach) :)

It really is a cool looking snake. Please don't name it after a Japanese tractor.

I actually have a kubota dealer that I see almost every week. Its right down the street from my worship hall.
I'm glad you mentioned this; I was afraid to :gj:

Next time I make up a word I'll have to make sure it's actually me making it up and not just me subconsciously fooling myself. Hmmmm, oh well. Not many tractors here in LaLa Land. The mind is an amazing thing.

Very nice, but I wouldn't call it Kubota. I think of the tractor at that point and it's not orange :P

I was expecting an orange snake. You're going to outdo yourself with a better name choice to help me cope with all this disappointment. :D

Oh my god it reminds me of a cheetah!!! Is it really yellow and black? Or is it more white and its just the lighting?? Very cool. Makes me really want to consider getting a king at the show.

Since I am Tractor Challenged, I have come up with a new/old name for my new morph.

Shui Mo. It's an ancient form of Chinese art using black ink on white paper. It fits right in with my InkDrop line.

So, there you have it. Strike the Kubota, which I really thought was a word I made up, obviously I don't drink enough and enter Shui Mo.

    Let the rejoicing begin.

I was thinking 'shway moe' I know that Asian pronunciation isn't real obvious to a lot of us raised in a western culture which is why I asked. I like the name, I just want to make sure I get it right.

    Soo-mee in Manderin

    Or Shuey Moh...

For us Merikans I suspect either will suffice. There's probably some tonal intonation that I am not aware of, but such is life. I like the name and I think it suits the morph.
