Got myself my first ever Boa!

I went to this small local expo today and i was debating between a ball python or Boa again and i figured, I'll show some boas some love and decided to pick myself up a male normal. Figured there's no point spending a couple hundred on my very first boa, that comes later hahah. If i'm not mistaken (i'll have to email the breeder) He's a normal but 100% het for albino, and my little guy has high pink on the side and i'll try to take my pictures but for now here's the little fella.

What expo - Lapeer??

Eye candy constrictors, and yes Lapeer. I got to say, i thought the expo was going to be a bit bigger than that but oh well.

It was big enough for you to SCORE!! Great choice on a boa over a Royal. You won't be disappointed. Normal male is perfect. Just what nature intended. You did well!

Hah thank youu. I was at one vender and all he had was female normals im like ughh. I wanted to get a male just because it's a little smaller than the female and i know it wont thaat bad as a first boa and i was about to leave the show and this guy comes up asking if im looking for a male boa and shows me the one i got now. I'll have to get a picture of his sides, cause he really has pink blushing

Awesome!! I got my first boa not too long ago and I am already asking myself why I didn't get one sooner!

I've heard that the Lapeer show was really small. I hope they are able to get more vendors eventually. I am excited to try out the Lansing show on Sept 8th. Their vendor list is pretty long. If it's at least as good as Taylor (which has actually NOT been all that great lately), then it'll be worth going for me. Taylor is a good 2 hrs from me, but the Lansing show will be 1/2 that distance. ;)

Im happy with him and glad i picked him up. I was thinking about going to the Lansing expo but thats like an hour n half from me and seeing i just got a boa, there's no need to go now. I will however will be taking the train back to my hometown in IL and will be going to the NARBC show in october, who know's what will happen haha

I can't WAIT for NARBC in Oct!! I will be there too!

Me either, I always have a good time whenever i go there. It's such a big event and just amazing.

i know john personally and he is a great guy. I almost got a female from that litter myself but i decided at the time it wasnt the best for me. A friend picked up an albino from him and it is doing great. You will be very happy with johns snakes. hope you enjoy.

Nick thanks for the kind words and the link to this thread. I like to see happy customers. Yes the Lapeer show is still small but I do hope that it continues to grow. It recently changed hands to new show operators/promoters.
