thank you im going to go look at him in the morning and get a weight on him--what is odd about him? I am just getting into ball pythons--so I don't know much about colors and quality yet

    It depends....
Are you going to breed him? If he is an adult, or "breeder," he might have been proven one way or the other by now, and the PH is just a marketing gimmick. Do you really want a male Spider? If so, why? If he is going to be a pet, I say go for it, if you plan on breeding Balls, especially if you have no Het Pied females, I would not pay more than $100 for him. If it was a female, I would say go for it.

it is a male breeder said proven I was going to talk to him in the morning--just as a pet for now but I am interested in breeding eventually--right now just looking at a couple base morphs to start out with--all advise would be helpful--he wants 300 or best offer

It is a $100 snake at best.
Are you interested in Pieds? If you do not have any female Pied stuff, the Possible Het part is of no use, and the owner is asking about a $200 premium for the PH Pied in my opinion. There should be TONS of Spider males out there for you to choose from. Pick up a regular Spider you love the look of, or a Spider that is 100% Het for a gene you are interested in. Be sure to look up the Spider wobble prior to getting into the Spider gene.

he is a nice looking spider to me .. but 250 is to much .. if u plan on breeding in the future ur better off just getting a hatchling and a female if that so that way when shes almost there u can get a male and u can get a hatch female for like 175.00 - 250.00 and cheaper if u go to a show .. rasie her up and decide if want to breed from there .. jmo .. good luck

yes im interested in the pied gen have read a little on the head wobble on the spiders, just looking at getting a pet for now, basically a cheap started snake to see if I want to go further and breed or just be a pet owner I will keep looking--want to try to get a bigger snake for I take on the task of raising a baby snake

I am sure if you look around...
and talk to some breeders, they have a spare male Pastel, or some other Co Dom gene that is also Het Pied. If you are getting an adult, and leery about raising a baby, I would get an adult female Morph. Then by the time you are ready to take the plunge and breed some balls, she will be ready to go. You will find a big difference in quality and price if you talk to a breeder who is willing to let go of a breeder male, who he has replaced with a higher quality male, say selling a Cinn male because they now have a Cinn Ghost male, vs. someone trying to make a buck anyway they can on CL.

The wobble isn't life threatening but at the same time I don't feel that it's good to knowingly reproduce an animal that has a disability.
