Top 5

In your opinion, what are the top 5 "must haves" for any hobbyist breeders collection? Single gene only, doms, co-doms, or recessives. Thanks! :)

I've been building up my base morphs for a couple years now.

Top 5 dominant base morphs, in no particular order,

Enchi
Mojave
Cinnamon
Fire
Leopard

Top 5 recessive morphs, in no particular order

Pied
Ghost
Axanthic
Clown
Genetic stripe

Lesser
spider
pinstripe
pied
albino

Albino, Pied, Spider, Pastel, Lesser would be my top 5

I'm leaning towards...
Fire
Enchi
Spider
Pastel
Leopard....
Being my first 5 pickups before I begin planning any breeding projects, any combo with these in it always catch my eye! :)

You can put lesser, enchi and hypo into anything and make it better :gj:

Pied, Clown, Mojave, GHI, Banana in no particular order.

But don't rule out:

(that was remarkably difficult, there are too many potentials to narrow down to 5, so I went with easier to find and affordable but still nice options)

Recessive:
Crider line Caramel Albino..... I finally have a line on some possible het's after a year and a half of looking.
Hypo
Piebald
Clown
Black Pastel

That would be my favourite gene list for potential pairings. The problem with my choices is eash one listed has 3-4 genes I haven't listed that I like or would love to see combined with them.

I tend to refer to Het Red ax and Red Ax as the same thing because Het Red is a visual morph, one of the most poorly named in the hobby.
But frankly that is just nitpicking along the lines of Yellowbelly versus Ivory.

But, you did catch my mistake on Black Pastel so thanks. I meant to include Black Axanthic rather than a Black Pastel.
Error of stupidity on my part, what can I say it has been a long, hot week.
